How do you enable this? Everyone keeps talking about a terminal hack but no one actually posted the hack that I can find. The original post doesn't even mention how to do it.

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences AppleInterfaceTheme Dark

then log out and back in.

The poof animation if you remove a icon from the Dock is gone. :(

We have this instead:

Screen%20Shot%202014-06-17%20at%2020.00.33.png

That's too bad. The poof is still there if you remove a website from the frequently visited list on the safari homepage though.

Can someone post the previous 10.10 System Preferences icon alongside the new one? I can't tell any difference at all.

Update in App Store ??????

after installing the 2nd beta for yosemite i got an update from my App store ..and "Os X 10.10 Update 1.0" was in my app store . WTH ? Anyone else check this out ? im not gonna download and install it yet because to be honest im not a dev. Im thinking maybe Apple started doing an authentication check or something like they started doing with builds of iOS 7 and now 8 ? i dont know . i did sign up for the public beta testing but i doubt it would be available this fast. ANYONE ELSE getting an update in the app store ? i can't be the only one .. Screen shot in attachments https://www.dropbox.com/s/1paxj0ojhqadd7s/Screenshot%202014-06-18%2001.41.32.png

When you double click on the title bar now works like the old zoom (maximize) button instead of minimize the window

That's just the 2nd dev version. Why didn't you just update it through the app store?

I can't believe everyone doesn't have double click to minimize activated. It's so much quicker.

Oh really ? i didn't know you could .. when i first got my iMac the betas for Mavericks were out and i use to have to download them one by one and couldn't get app store updates for them . i didn't know i could update through the app store now. is that how you did it ?

The betas for Mavericks came through the same way.

So no poof animation, no stars in Time Machine, and going back a few years, no happy Mac when you boot up.

Apple's commitment to taking the fun out of computing sure is impressive.

Yeah, just went through the software update in the menu bar apple logo.

Find My Mac

Hi guys , please can anyone confirm this - when you turn the Find My Mac on and have the guest account set up also , then do the PRAM reset and check if the Find My Mac is still active ? Thanks

Pretty sure that the file transfer dialogue box has changed since DP1, where the titlebar has been blended into the window

Also were the edges always perfectly square in DP1?

I thought we'd see a squarification off the roundRecs in Yosemite. I'd prefer to see a uniform radius reduction across all windows instead of keeping the old radius for normal windows and making dialogs 90º.

In fact, use the new button radii and make it uniform across everything. You'd see a much nicer visual tranquility. Right now it's inconsistent and odd.

Its making me happy. : D

And yet there's still the crayon section in the color window. Hopefully we'll see that gone too. (And the Launch Pad's new app sparkles, ugh.)
