There's a new icon for extremely low battery (below 5% perhaps? I wasn't quite paying attention): an extra, line of black:

Thoughts on the removal of the sound when adjusting volume? I kinda like it.

I never knew anyone who'd want to keep that enabled. Old sound was better, but I only adjust volume as I'm listening to something so I know what the levels I'm after. The sound just gets in the way, even with the new improved sound.

with a scroll wheel? mine doesn't do that... Is it specific to your mouse, or was your mouse set up that way in Sys Preferences? Because I haven't changed any settings and clicking in the scroll wheel doesn't do anything at all for me.

Does it open links in new tabs if you middle-click on them? If not, you have to set up the scroll wheel to work as a middle mouse button.

Though the described behavior (tabs close on middle click) also works for me in Safari 7.0.6. In my case, I set up a gesture for middle click on the Magic Mouse using BetterTouchTool.

Yeah, it turns out I was the one who changed my mouse's default behavior :p

This started early ... the early, the better i always say

Why do beta always have this crappy straight translucent dock ? (Attached). Since the release would be just like Mavericks: (translucent on the bottom only)

Thanks goodness there is now the "Documents" stack in the dock by default, I hate how u need to drag it there after a Mavericks install currently. So, annoying.

Hopefully, it will still be present in the release.

It takes less time to drag the Documents stack to the dock than it took to read this post. It’s a non-issue to me, but whatever floats your boat.

Clear History and Website data in Safari, took me time to figue out why my History couldn't be cleared.

I guess it's useful "Clear: option" to only clear in the past hour, today etc.

There is a new sound that you can enable in preferences. It is much better too

new AirPort utility

An excess of blue where blue may mean 'already on' or 'already connected'

Thanks.

With the heading … Little Things to guide us, I should probably point out that both icons appear to include some bevelling.

Yosemite

As blue in relation to networking may commonly mean 'on' or 'connected', I think that it is excessive to apply so much blue to the icon of any utility that is likely to be used when either:
  • there is not yet a connection; or
  • connection has failed.

In this case it should have sufficed to apply some blue to some of the arcs within the circle. The additional application of blue to the circle is excessive (and relatively garish).

Side note

My dock doesn't seen to be translucent anymore on DP2 o_O it just looks out of place now. Everything else still is though.. also my safari search bar always seems to be selected and there's no way for me to deselect it..

Last weird thing, the menubar items for applications is translucent, while the menubar items for stuff in the menu bar isn't.

Try enabling / disabling System Preferences > Accessibility > Display > Reduce transparency. Maybe a restart will fix the problemen or both.

DP7 is out everyone! :D

Some changes I noticed:

* Spotlight has a dark theme!
* New selection color for dark theme menu bar
* Font has gotten a tiny bit thinner. It sounds bad but on a retina display, it honestly looks so amazing.
* New Disk Image Spotlight icon to go along with new volume icons in the previous DP.
* The "Dock" and "Software Update" items from the main Apple menu have been removed.

Since the iOS 7 betas, it seems as if Apple had so much pride that they're willing to do exactly the opposite of what we're asking for.

Help shape OS X Yosemite, my ass.
