Ability to remove full screen switching/spaces animation?

Does anyone know whether the animation that shows when switching from full screen apps (or switching spaces) can be disabled in Yosemite? You need TotalSpaces to do it on OS X Mavericks.

It really irks me that it can't just be disabled for instant switching. Anyone know?

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but the application switcher (cmd+tab) now has a small space between the current active application and the rest. Couldn't take a screenshot, so I took a picture:

Hey, does anyone have this 1 pixel gap between menubar and "maximized" window?

BTW, Dropbox has a new menubar icon for Yosemite :)

is anything new or changes regarding window handling /task switching in 10.10?

I know there is the full screen button now, but other things? Any new behaviour with minimising/maximising windows, or new features for the dock or alt+tab or ...?

I'd disagree. I think the 27" iMac's pixel density is just barely low enough that the helvetica neue font is a little bit rough. Not unusably so. I'm looking forward to the retina iMacs which should hopefully be out before Christmas if things… follow the same pattern they have for the last 2 years. :p

I think we are still at least a few years out before we see 21" retinas, not to mention 27". It's just too expensive. But maybe Apple will do what they did the rMBP and introduce more expensive retina models alongside the old ones...

Just to be spiteful: I was right. :)

Well, too be fair, I did say that maybe they'd release it alongside the old models, which is exactly what they did. ;)

Would have never guessed at the $2499 price, though. $3000 at least.

GM to final release?

Hi, I have the latest GM, do I need to download the final version on the app store? Or it's ok, the one I have?
