I don't like them taking away the sidebar from iTunes.
I love iTunes but they keep NERFING it every OS update.

I don't know if anyone noticed. Too many threads to go through lol. When you right click on something and then click an option the selection flickers like macs used to wayyyyyy back when

I've done quite a fair share of Googling, and now that I think about it, I might be losing my mind... who knows?

Was there any point in the presentation today that we saw a Notification Center widget with multiple packages that were all being tracked (via USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc)? Does anyone have a link to a screenshot of it, or have any idea what app it was?

I was under the impression that it was just another Apple "app" of sorts, as easily accessible like the calculator in the N.C., but now I can't even find a whisper of it. Crazy.

TIA!

If you want release quality: use the full installer, not an update

Do we seriously need to update if we have the GM/PB 6 even though they are the same build?

Neither of the third golden master candidates is the same as the golden master.

If you want golden master, release quality wherever possible: you should do more than update. You should make the zero-cost purchase then perform a full installation, using Apple's app – in its entirety.

Don't forget Recovery OS and so on.

I did not watch the Keynote nor have I upgraded to Yosemite (so I am not sure if this is what you saw), but in the App Store I noticed an app called "Deliveries: a package tracker," which has a widget that goes in the Notification Center.

It seems that as in iOS, widgets are not downloaded by themselves but are part of applications.

All widgets you see for NC are extensions, they must come signed and bundled with an actual working app. You cannot get a widget or any OS extension without an app behind it. It's the same for iOS and OS X.

Replying in Mail - Can't leave full-screen

Unless i'm being stupid I can't find a way of leaving full-screen in Mail when replying.

I assume it's a bug as they just added this functionality in Mail on iOS 8.

Very annoying!

Release is well out (14A389), bit disappointing that beta/dp users have to download the full package.
I can't believe the Dock jaggies still present.

I use the folders on my dock very often (three folders, two are set to fan view), this is just lazy...

So they updated every cursor to match OS X Yosemite's matte appearance. Except the wait (beachball) cursor. Makes no sense.

Before upgrading I had like 10GB free on my 128GB MBA, with Yosemite I have like 20GB free. Nut sure how this works, but it's nice.
Magic! :D

Is there any way to have the dock background for dock folder grids but not for the dock/menu bar? Or for everything but the menu bar? I find the dark-mode menu bar rather difficult to read.

Also, is there an easy to way to change the bright blue/aqua folders for the entire system?

Much appreciated, looks like I got a little impatient and should have just waited a few more hours!

Tags (red, orange, yellow...) now work in the dock. You can drag tags from Finder to the "right part" of your dock and your tagged files will appear.

At least it remembers your view now. I just keep it in Playlist view all the time which is how I like my iTunes.

Why would I want to enable it? I'm happy it is off by default.

Well you could have just DISABLED it at any stage in the past. :p

They are one build number off, my bet is that it is nothing more than a consolidation of the GM/PB build numbers and nothing has actually changed.
