And, then...
I need more time to familiar with it.

deleting a file into trash can at least gives you a chance to undo the action, especially on ssd. That is what backups are there for.
And what is the advantage of deleting a file (putting it into the Trash) and storing it there? Why delete it in the first place?
And there is also that tap to lock feature, where you double tap a file or object and it can be dragged quite easy without getting cramps.
Yes, one uses CMD and the arrow down button. Easy if one has done it often enough, not easy for those not accustomed to that command.
It's obviously somebody who has used Windows for a very long time. In their case "easier" means "easier to remember" rather than objectively easier.Reaching for a secondary input device, clicking a button, finding the correct menu item and clicking it, then returning to your keyboard to start typing, is objectively slower than hitting return and start typing.
You just proved it by wanting a single keyboard command to perform a different (and destructive) operation.
Cool story, and you would have been right too, had the wording been "easier" instead of "faster".It's obviously somebody who has used Windows for a very long time. In their case "easier" means "easier to remember" rather than objectively easier.
In any case, why are we discussing basic functionality like the behavior of the trash can? This getting a bit off topic.

So if I understand correctly Metal hasn't been enabled yet in Beta 1? So all the performance improvement already seen in the UI/animations is extra from Metal?
Has anyone else met the issue in Split Screen - (set at two different sizes) using Safari + another app - where certain tabs won't open when clicked on if the screen is set to a particular size. I have a feeling this is an error coming from that individual website but regardless, it shouldn't prevent you from opening that tab on Safari.
Split screen is full of bugs currently...
Wow, 0.3 MB in size. An application this small I haven't seen in a very long time. Wow.My guess is they rushed this functionality into the developer preview in just a few days, when they saw Magnet going to #1 in the Mac AppStore a few weeks before the Keynote.
I didnt notice that either!Wow, 0.3 MB in size. An application this small I haven't seen in a very long time. Wow.
However I guess, Apple just optimise a demo version of OS and use it in wwdc.We don't know the whole story yet. It's very hard to debug Metal completely on OS X due to lack of tools. We'll have to wait for beta 2-3 to see if they'll start adding tools for Metal debugging and stuff like that.
My guess is it is only partially enabled in beta 1 and will expand over the next few months. I'm basing this on the CPU usage of WindowsServer, Metal is supposed to move more workload onto GPU and reduce the CPU usage to the lowest possible.
In addition, what we see from Apple's keynote is usually a month or two ahead of what we get for the betas.
Not only is the font smaller, they also tweaked the visual appearance of the lookup. By the way, I didn't know it, but Apple seems to update the dictionary, nice.
Here's a screenshot from Yosemite for comparison:

I think I actually prefer the Yosemite lookup! It's a little easier to read.
Nice! I just found that you can hide frequently visited sites. Right click anywhere in favorites tab.
I don't see it in the wiki but I'm really not sure if it's new to El Capitan. Can anyone else confirm?
Why would you want to hide the menu bar?
