Where do you find the HIDE FREQUENTLY VISITED SITES under the favorites pull down? I right click and I don't see that option anywhere.

Right click anywhere that's empty on the Favourites page and untick 'Show Frequently Visited Sites'. Make sure you don't right click a favourite/bookmark but the empty space.

I noticed today, if you have multiple displays, you can specify which screen the program opens to by default via a right click on the dock icon. This has previously been a feature, you say? Be off with you.

Hmm. That's interesting. There I have no doubt that Apple will integrate this into the system-wide dark mode. I mean, they have no reason not to.

I'm sure it will happen at some stage, whether it will happen during 10.11 cycle or introduced in OSX 10.12.

I hope the entire system (not just right click) gets the dark theme added.... including windows, title bar and side bar etc.

In code there is both a black and white blur effects. All Apple really would have to do is check what mode the system was in and then change the blur effect value and text color.

Do you know if AMD Radeon users get more VRAM on El Capitan? Intel HD users get more VRAM? Can we get more VRAM please?

I think this computer on the screenshot does not share RAM between CPU and GPU, so should no get VRAM increase on El Capitan.

EDIT: Yep, according to specifications, it is a dedicated GPU, so RAM is not shared, so no VRAM increase on El Capitan. Obviously.

A software update can't physically add more memory to a dedicated GPU chip.

I think you need to read up on the difference between a dedictated and an integrated graphic card... Apples fairy dust has limited magical properties.

Notifications preference pane is contains now an alphabetically ordered list of your apps. I think it ordered by adding date on Yosemite.

Extensions preferences is also got a little makeover: It has now a much nicer and cleaner list when you select "All".

HOW WAS THIS NOT IN THE BLEEDING KEYNOTE‽

You can now DECLINE Facebook events RIGHT IN YOUR CALENDAR!!

Are there any other Facebook related new features? Like only show accepted events in the Calendar? I'm sick of those spam events showing in my Calendar.

Silly question, but does the Split View also work with Finder and Safari? Has anyone a picture of this?
That Split View will take my productivity to the next level!

Yes. From what I can tell, any app that supports fullscreen supports Split View, but I have very few third party apps installed to test this with.

Even apps that don't support full screen can now be made full screen by using split view with an app that can go full screen.

Can you ungroup notifications as well, like on iOS 9? Is there a single toggle to disable all notifications from a specific app, like on iOS 8? Can you show a picture of the notifications panel in system prefs?

Ugh. Is there a way to turn this off? I do screen design stuff, working with pixel-perfect graphics, so I need to be able to see the pixels.
This in preview only. I don't know your workflow, but I am quite sure it does not include designing stuff in preview.

No, but if you go into fullscreen while viewing a photo in Photos.app most of the UI goes into a dark mode, including the right-click menu, so the framework for such a thing definitely does exist.

I hope they do go a little further with Dark Mode this time. In early developer previews of Yosemite, when Dark Mode was not yet *officially* a toggle-able option in the Settings app, people found that the system resources for Dark Mode were actually present and could be used by renaming them to overwrite the Graphite theme's resources. See the following article for some interesting screenshots of how early iterations of Dark Mode looked:

http://www.cultofmac.com/282685/enabling-yosemites-hidden-dark-mode-feature/

It was obvious then that Apple was experimenting with Dark Mode as a system-wide UI theme, including the Finder background, toolbar, buttons, and dropdown lists. In later developer previews, they axed this idea and decided not to make it a theme — now it's a separate toggle-able option that simply turns the menubar and dock dark, ontop of either the Graphite or Aqua theme.
