I don't think that's true. I tried with Activity Monitor and was unable to do it.
Works for me. Go to mission control, drop Activity Monitor on a fullscreen app.

Mmm, maybe I did something wrong. Anyway, what I tried was to hold-click the green button on the Activity Monitor window. I will try later.Works for me. Go to mission control, drop Activity Monitor on a fullscreen app.

Step 1: Hold green button on app that CAN go fullscreen
Step 2: Select app that CANT go fullscreen to be the split view app
Step 3: Take original app out of fullscreen
Step 4: You now have any app running fullscreen regardless of whether or not it has the functionality built in.
Yes. From what I can tell, any app that supports fullscreen supports Split View, but I have very few third party apps installed to test this with.
Can you ungroup notifications as well, like on iOS 9? Is there a single toggle to disable all notifications from a specific app, like on iOS 8? Can you show a picture of the notifications panel in system prefs?
If it uses HD instead of SSD it will be slower, apple killed the hddHow is the El Capitan performance on base Mac mini 2014 (1,4ghz, 4GB RAM)? I was planning on buying one, but I changed my mind when I heard that Yosemite runs slowly on it. I would only use it for basic tasks, and if El Capitan runs smoothly, I might buy it..

Yes, it's one of the options listed when you right-click. However, I never checked before I upgraded so maybe it's on Yosemite too.Is there a "right click" "rename" for a file like Windows has?
Definitely not on Yosemite.Yes, it's one of the options listed when you right-click. However, I never checked before I upgraded so maybe it's on Yosemite too.

It never did?
Wow, I'm actually surprised that Safari hasn't gotten that feature until now. Firefox/Chrome have had it for a while.Haven't read the whole thread. Just the OP. Not sure if this has been said, but my favorite little feature is that Safari now has a checkbox when you get more than 2 alerts from a page to stop sending alerts from that webpage.
Stops those annoying ransomware popups that force you to restart your browser.

That's not new. If you create a contact and check the Company checkbox, the default placeholder silhouette changes from a person to a cityscape. It simply means there's no picture set to the contact. This screenshot is from 10.9.5:Not sure if this is specifically new to 10.11, but the default Apple icon in Contacts seems to have changed from an apple to a cityscape.

You want two steps instead of just one in OS X (just click the label to rename)? Is there a "right click" "rename" for a file like Windows has?
Thanks! You want two steps instead of just one in OS X (just click the label to rename)?
Or just hit return on the keyboard and start typing, even faster. Thanks!
I didn't know you could do that.
New to OS X here.
