Since DB4, Safari crashes when I right-click on a URL. Is it just me? I've not done any testing to try and eliminate the problem yet, apart from disabling all extensions.

False alarm - it was my fault. I still had Safari Stand enabled, which kind of hobbled along with previous betas, but this one has killed it completely.

How about odd menu text in drop-down menus - Pages app. It flips upside-down when you click on any of them...

I thought I would try El Capitan yesterday - it installed fine but after that, things were not so rosy! First, Safari would not open my normal web sites. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Yahoo and a local radio site to my location would not open. I reported via feedback regarding the issue and sent screenshots where possible. Mail was working but as the evening progressed it simply died. The mail could not connect to Apple, Yahoo or Gmail to get email. That kinda ended my lack of testing. I have downloaded Beta in the past i.e. Yosemite, and this has never happened to this extent. I would expect crashes and some programs not to work but this I did not expect. I truly hope I am alone with these symptoms. Perhaps there were other issues - antivirus for example that was preventing the system from working - don't know. I could deal with a browser not working but email is kinda a show stopper. I backed out this AM and put 10.10.4 back on from a backup.

Just used my 13" MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) for the first time in a while unplugged - battery life WAY WAY down from Yosemite. Hope this is improved with optimization as we get closer to GM... WOW

One remote possibility - that some system file got hosed in the beta install. It can happen with any OS update - might boot into the recover partition and run disk utility just to check for disk issues.

Does someone else have that massive glitch when swiping from a fullscreen app to the desktop (PB 2)?

Wow, so the 2nd PB fixed precisely zero of my problems - still finder doesn't remember the size you set it at and *still* Airplay is completely broken. I ask myself why they even bother.

Font Book is completely busted. I remember running it in previous beta's and it seemed to work fine but now it won't load at all. I simply get a empty window and any attempt to drag the corners crashes the app.

Font Book hasn’t been fine in years. Takes for ever to load, is super slow and stuttery. I don’t know what Apple does to that app.

Yep, huge graphical glitch when swiping between spaces.

That is encouraging. I actually regret updating now. Overall the performance seems to be worse, that massive glitch that I will see all the time, Font Book broken.

I 've installed PB1 and today PB2 but I can't log in to icloud and I can't drag windows to another position with my touchpad. Anyone solutions?

Yeah, kinda curious what they actually fixed.

One would think that the Finder issues would be kinda priority, but I guess not :(

PB2 here, Media keys are fubar, and that's one of my most used functions. :(

EDIT: FIXED BY HARD REBOOT.

4 out of 4 problems that I reported are fixed, although some one else must of reported them since I reported them yesterday. I have no problems swiping between full screen and desktop. No problems with dragging windows.

I was just playing with Finder (sidebar still too narrow). I normally use the keyboard to open the Finder, such as cmd-shift-h or cmd-shift-a. Just for fun, I set these two views to look very different in terms of size and location. If there is not currently a Finder window open, these two commands remember the location and size. I have not taken the time to see if this sticks through a re-boot or logoff/logon.

Instant Hotspot still is crappy in Public Beta 2. When I click the WiFi icon in my Mac menubar, I don’t see my iPhone for Instant Hotspot. If I go to Settings>Personal Hotspot on my iPhone, sometimes that will make my iPhone appear in the WiFi menubar dropdown on my Mac. However, it disappears seconds after exiting Settings>Personal Hotspot or the iPhone display goes to sleep. Before it disappears, it's always listed among other WiFi networks and not in its own “Personal Hotspots” section; never contains battery/signal information; and often won’t connect. Signing out of and back into iCloud on my Mac temporarily solves the problem, but the problem shortly recurs. The issue is with El Capitan, because my iPad sees my iPhone for Personal Hotspot just fine.

I meant more the margins. For me, the default layout, cuts off my favourites on the left i.e. it's set too small by default. When I correct this by dragging it wider, and close Finder again, re-opening it, just presents the same problem - it's not remembering that I changed it.

Admittedly that may well be a Yosemite issue too, as I never had to change the default margin in that, so maybe it is user error on my part. It worries me that Airplay has not been fixed between betas, as I hardly have some obscure amp (Yamaha rx575)

Yep, same thing here too.

Wondershare Video Editor for Mac 6.5.0 crash on opening in DB4. Version 4.4.6 work fine. I have tried to remove 4.5.0, reinstall 4.4.6 and it work, but when I upgraded to 4.5.0, the app immediately crash on opening,

Have filed bug report with Apple, and he dev. Will report if there is any update

El Capitan that refine Yosemite should not have so many bugs as all of us experienced

Still no fix for connection to WPA/WPA2 Corporate WiFi network. It still hang at authenticating and won't connect as it should be in DB4. Apple said it is Aruba fault and stated that Aruba has to fix this. Haha, Apple never make mistake android it is other people fault. My corportate wiggins is unchanged and work in Yosemite and all prior prior OSX, it is broken in El Capitan. So who is to blame?

But this is a dealbreaker

What I've noticed so far:

*Finder graphics glitch that turned the display black while hitting the back/forward buttons seems to be gone
*Pinwheel appears more often now when closing Safari and Mail
*Font Book is a mess (it was working before) -- now I can't event see the fonts thatr are active or turned off.
*This shake-to-find mouse pointer still does not have an option to turn it off. Hopefully, in the future.
*Crash Reporter and Diagnostic Reports are populated with all sort of files -- no idea if this affects peformance.
* A new folder called "Guest" showed up on Home, although I'm the only user of the machine.

Here's on a MBA 13'', 2014.

Anyone using a Native Instruments Audio 8 DJ or any other USB audio interface in El Capitan? It seems to be broken at the moment, unable to output audio via USB and OS crashes when I unplug it.

Thinking about going back to Yosemite, rather than waiting it out, but that's going to require a complete wipe.

I've a similar issue with my NI Komplete Audio 6 interface since beta1. My audio always stop suddenly and to fix that just unplugin the NI usb cabe or going to MIDI audio setup and changing 44100,0hz to 48000,0hz–

I thought only I was having this problem. sooo annoying

Anyone else having problem to update Itunes library path?

I've two external hd, mirroring. And Itunes doesn't see my files when i trying to use the second hdd to listen my musics.
