I dont know any other messaging program than this one, which is that lightweight and supports, xmpp, irc, etc.?
But if i wouldn't use this one, it wouldn't fix the problem either.

Problem is known:
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=508935

there's a workaround to run chrome without sandboxing
/Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --no-sandbox

then it's working. but now i dont know if the bug is in el capitan or in chrome or both.
i don't understand this sandboxing feature (is it new with el capitan or did it exist before?)

Just found it interesting. I was a huge Adium user back in the day, even made custom xtras (icons and sound packs) for it. Had no idea it was still around.

It's even that good like it was in these old days :) Just missing the AdiumHUD from the good old not anymore existing macthemes.net forums :(

PB3... I did submit feedback, but it appears my Spotlight has gone unchanged. I'm unable to search for sports, weather, etc. I did not use PB1 or PB2. I'm seeing others that also have this issue, so hopefully it will be fixed in PB4. Other than that, I haven't noticed other issues at this time.

So far, with PB 3, I've had no problems, no crashes and no lags (excepted a Bluetooth mouse, MX Masters, lags a bit at times when moving across safari).

But I only just noticed somethings:
1) spotlight isn't as described in the keynote. Typing weather in... Does nothing new for me. It's just the same old spotlight. Bug or am I missing something?

2) some apps don't support split screen. And as the PB rolls out, it appears as if more and more of my apps aren't supporting it. For example, Mathematica would allow split screen in PB 2, but not in PB 3.

I'm having the same issue with Spotlight within PB3. I just joined the PB3, so I installed PB1 and PB2, but didn't try it on those installs.

From what I can tell everything internet related is disabled in Spotlight, even though Bing search results are enabled in System Preferences. So at this point it's actually a step down from OS X Yosemite. I'm not complaining since OS X El Capitan (I don't think I ever hated a (Mac) OS X name as much as this one) is still in beta, just something I noticed.

Now a new bug for me. I can't seem to delete some files from the desktop. I get this error:

graphics error when right clicking on desktop "Change Desktop Background".

Same thing happening here, and I have reported it.

Does anyone else feel that PB4 is significantly slower than any of the other betas? It hangs and freezes for a couple of seconds, sporadically. Feels like I'm using a 5400 RPM drive again.

Safari is proper messed up for me in PB4 - none of my cookies seem to be updating - some forums I can't log-in to and every time I reboot my machine, I have to click the 'allow cookies' setting on websites. Wasn't an issue with PB3.

One step forward, two steps back...

I'm not having much fun with this beta, my graphics card was showing 3 MB (and acting like it) and I've lost sound. I've fixed the display issue but I'm out of my depth with the sound issue and I'm going for a re-installation unless anyone can advise anything else?

I'm inclined to agree - takes a long time to start up too.

I am having the same issue. I also cannot use quicktime in safari.

My Spotlight window is white like it was in Yosemite, and doesn't find things like weather, nor anything else, and I can't find any way to open new tabs in Mail. I surely have the latest Public Beta though. Anyone has any idea why this could be happening?
