Ah good to know.
I would hope that Apple would take a stance against that. But we still have many many countries without Apple stores, many countries where most services are handicapped or don't exist at all, etc.

Instead of giving money to shareholders, they should invest it to make more money. Make their products better and make more products!

Apple cad software? professional grade photo software? More robust cloud? web development? Robust office suite? Cars? Bikes? Public transportation? Monitors? Speakers? and so on.

Just had an awesome bug - sat on train with varying light sources and getting beachballs and general sluggishness all the time for the last 2 hours. tried all the usual suspects but noticed hidd taking an unusual amount of CPU (3%, normally much lower). prefs > display > ambient light compensation off, problem goes away :).

Using PB4...completed wrecked my system. Has been unusable for days.As I just sat here thinking of what I could do to try to fix it I noticed it immediately beach ball as the screen dimmed...I took off the compensation and MIRACLE...computer is now usable again. Wow...what a bug!!! I only wish I had seen your post before I stumbled upon my own fix. And, irony alert, when I tried to update my iPhone to the latest PB I ended up having to do a force restore. At least my mac is usable again!! :)

In the Netherlands we've been blessed with three Apple Stores and even Siri speaks Dutch these days. Sure took long enough. I do find the list of cities where transit directions are provided extremely disappointing, especially considering all Dutch transit authorities upload their live data to an open API. There are multiple apps available where you can see the exact location of your bus, tram or metro per example. Google Maps makes use of it to. Why not Apple?

Maps has largely been in a state of limbo since its original release, so I kinda expected more.

Now every time at boot dropbox and cinch are "opening for the first time" - must click "open" to start them.

... this is related to sandbox "feature" i guess?

Anyone else getting Kernel Panic while using Mail? I found myself getting it several times when opening a specific email conversation with a specific contact, while using my Gmail account. Quite annoying, cause it's not just the Mail crashing is the whole system..

So far Ive seen poor memory usage when waking after short period of sleep. The mac tends to stutter a bit but resolved after reboot

Partitioned hard drive (half Apple HFS, half Windows NFTS) only shows the Windows partition. Only place I can see the mac partition is under 'diskutil list' in terminal. Any ideas? Not showing under /Volumes/

New major problem introduced with the latest Public Beta (15A243d) - DRAMATICALLY reduced battery life on my MacBook Pro (Mid-2010).

Quite literally, battery life has been cut in half since the latest public beta update. I thought I was just crazy the last couple of days - but this morning, using my MBP for my normal Sunday AM presentation (Keynote), instead of the usual 40-60% battery remaining at the end, I was greeted with a warning that the computer was about to shut down because of low battery (was at 4%). This was, as usual, from a fully-charged battery. Battery Health is still at 84% (which is what it was last time I checked a few weeks back - when battery lasted twice as long).

I'm not sure what might be different or what process might be causing this dramatic reduction of observed battery life, particularly when the battery is still "healthy". I can only surmise it is related to the latest Beta update.

Yep - started seeing this with the PB4 update as well. Every time this MacBook Pro boots - I get those "opening for first time" messages. Frustrating.

There's a huge bug that started with PB3, whenever I close an app using "cmd+w" it crashes! All apps!

Activity monitor? Nothing strange?
I couldn't check activity monitor at the time - battery was nearly dead and my MagSafe was at home.

So I just recreated the scenario - only user app running being Keynote. I didn't really see anything odd in Activity Monitor - other than "spindump" process popping up and using a bit of ram.

I also, in the course of watching Activity Monitor for a bit, noticed EEventManager using chunks of memory, then turning red (not responding). Then I see multiple instances of the same named process (apparently needed to print to Epson network printer).

Also - since the PB4 update, the wake-from-sleep problem I was having, and was somewhat better in PB3, is back - with a vengeance - 9/10 times my MacBook Pro goes to sleep (regardless of if it is just by the energy saver settings or by closing the lid), and won't wake, or won't wake "all the way" up - i.e.: the screen either won't come on, or only comes on a very dim grey (volume keys still result in the system sound, pressing the dim button causes the dim screen to go black). So it isn't all the way "crashed". The light on the front goes out as well.

So I figured out that every so often, if I close the lid, the apple lights up and I can open the screen and it works as it should. IF that doesn't work, then the computer becomes totally unresponsive and the light on the front stays on. Only "solution" is to do a hard power-off and on. Not good.

Indeed - for ME, this beta is an example of 1 step forward, 3 steps back. If things don't improve soon, I will roll back and not even think about updating when the regular release comes out.

This is kinda not a bug in El Capitan itself but yeah, it impresses me that Logitech Control Center stops working at every new release of OS X.

With Mavericks and Yosemite i could not even open LCC, with El Capitan i can open LCC but none of my Logitech devices have the common decency to pair with my computers. :(
I plug in a USB mouse click through the windows after install reboot but remove USB mouse first after saying reboot, it then works fine until the next version update.

Preview.app + multi-page pdf = beachballs from Hades - and frequent crashes. The document is b&w, and about 50 pages.

Trying to print (command+print) = immediate crash of Preview.

UGH

I have "opening for the first time" issue for GoogleDrive, cDock and SkyFonts apps. Also, I installed latest PB 4 last week, but in AppStore there is PB3 listed as latest installed update, and no new updates available. But, when I go in SystemReport there is PB4 listed... Very strange.

The app store being too stupid to know which beta you're on is a known issue (for PB4 and DB6). Yesterday I installed a "Command Line Tools" update and my "opening for the first time" issue I had with BetterTouchTool seems to have been fixed.

Good day everyone!

I'm currently running the mid-2015 rMBP 15". I also have an OWC Thunderbolt 2 dock. Recently, after updating to build 15A243d, I have been getting the notification of USB device disabled as it is drawing too much power.

I would like to know how am I able to resolve this issue. I have heard that one of the ways to resolve is to reset the SMC. However, I have attempted to do so, but the issue still persist. Would be glad if someone could help me on this!
