I have two iTunes accounts (my main account and the very old one I used to buy songs with before I subscribed to .Mac and switched to that ID). Now I use family sharing with those two accounts which works fine except for a few songs that I bought when DRM was still implemented. These are listed in the Purchased section but have never been upgraded to non-DRM files by Apple. (Probably because they were pulled from the store before DRM was dropped.) So I can re-download these songs with my newer main account via family sharing but they won't play. My Mac is authorised to play content from both accounts but it's no use. Anyone else with that problem?

Still having Activity Monitor crashing. Even after resetting PRAM and SMC.

Strange bug to have.

In the latest update, I've seen a lot of lag and crashing whenever the open dialog pops up. It's at its worse in Chrome, which just crashes without any prompting or interaction. Other apps have crashed, but usually it just takes forever to render the box.

With OS X Yosemite DP 4, it seems impossible to make or receive iPhone calls via FaceTime app. Every time I click the corresponding checkbox in FaceTime settings, the message pops up, saying I must use the same Apple ID for FaceTime and iCloud. Notably, I do.
It worked on DP 3, though people couldn't hear me on the other end.

FW Audio Driver not loading

Hi everyone
As of Beta 4
My FW Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 doesn't load the drivers.
About this Mac shows the studio Live connected, but no drivers loaded.
Same on the StduiLive, shows the driver not loaded.
Just an FYI

I'm seeing the same thing with my Focusrite Saffire. Same behavior on my Mac Mini and my Retina MacBook Pro, on the native FW port on the Mini and with a Thunderbolt to FW adapter on both computers.

Safari is not letting me open new tabs (via CMD-T or from Menu Bar) or open links in new tabs.

Dragging a file in to an open / save dialog no longer navigates to that file, but rather COPIES it into the open folder in the dialog?

Yup, this continued through a restart. I am now lost in open / save dialogs. Dragging files from iTunes or Finder was the only way I navigated those. How do I even…?

Drop the file over the "Open" button instead of the file list. That way it will navigate directly to the file.

No dice on sites that don't implement standard upload buttons or the nice drag and drop javascript solutions. SOUNDCLOUD I AM LOOKING AT YOU!

I literally just copied the file to my desktop and uploaded it from there instead of trying to navigate to it through the file system

My Spotlight only shows suggestions from the dictionary and computer files. None of the fancy stuff they had shown at WWDC, is that how its supposed to be or is my Spotlight screwed up? Maybe its because I live in Canada.

We got some of it in the UK at the weekend on both Yosemite and iOS 8

Did you have it before or did they just add it?

Apple is usually pretty quick getting stuff to US, Canada, and UK, plus China. Especially Canada since we use Google Canada other than Google.com and a lot of the same sites, not much of a rewrite needed to support UK and Canada...

Safari is not letting me open new tabs (via CMD-T or from Menu Bar) or open links in new tabs.

So the problem here was that I was running Glims in Safari. Prevented me from opening new tabs, new windows and many other functions. Uninstalling it restored Safari's usefulness.

Looks like I have a Dark Mode bug in the Public Beta. All my main menus have a solid grey background, not a translucent black background as seen in screenshots.

The Reduce Transparency option in Accessibility make no difference, but it does make my dock opaque and removes translucency across the system.

Any ideas how to fix the menu issue?

----------

Re-post from another thread:

Okay, fixed my opaque dark mode menus!

You need to have menu bar translucency on. When you do, you get translucent menus. If you have this off, you get solid grey (in dark mode) and solid white in regular mode.

Mystery solved!

Calendar can't connect to my Google Calendar. Asks for password, then says server "responded with an error."

After many system restarts, account re-enabling, password re-entry, and expressions of mild despair, Yosemite's calendar suddenly started linking to my Google calendar.

Case closed, at least for now.

Was added on Saturday.

Just removed Office with AppZapper and trawled through the Library removing the sporadic MS files, did the reinstall and autoupdate and Word 'track changes' still crashing :(

I just found this thread in a google search because I'm having the same problem. A particular document that I kept trying to open had track changes turned on and would crash Word within about a second of opening the document. Turning off "Use balloons to display changes" in Preferences >> Track Changes solved the problem for me. At least for the time being...

Well....

The public beta is unusable for me. Installed it on a late 2013 MBP 15". MBP was wiped yesterday and a fresh copy of Mavericks installed. No Time Machine backup, etc.

Downloaded the beta and ran the installer. Install went fine.

Problem I'm having is totally unreliable wifi. It will stay connected for 3-5 minutes, then go away. I'm still connected, but can't ping, get name resolution, browse, anything until I turn off WiFi and turn it back on. I repaired permissions on a whim, but nada.

I filed 4 reports with Feedback Assistant in the past 2 hours. Alas.
