Hi,

Anyone else come across MS Word 2011 crashing when 'track changes' are on?

That isn't a Yosemite problem. MS fixed it in the latest patches though - is your version of Office up to date?

Oh, weird. The track-changes crash problem was the reason I shifted to running the Windows version of Office inside Parallels, having lost WAY too much work in Mac Word.

But it's been rock solid for me since the last couple of patches, in both Mavericks and Yosemite.

Try a clean install of Office?

Hmmm, will try that because I really don't want to go back to 10.9 just for bloody Microsoft :)

Thanks for your prompt replies

Just removed Office with AppZapper and trawled through the Library removing the sporadic MS files, did the reinstall and autoupdate and Word 'track changes' still crashing :(

Managed to @ least open the document in Office 365 iOS app running on iOS 8

Bug in Pages

Hey,
I've been having a very frustrating bug in Pages,
When trying to change styles of text or choose type of bullet for the second time (basically, almost all choosing menus from the style menu...), I can't click on any of the options and it is like there is no menu.

This happens only while trying to choose from a menu in the second try and not the first one.

Anyone else is experiencing this..? Anyone solved it without reopening the document..?

Thanks,
Tal.

My major issue is Wifi connection. It keeps dropping and losing packets all the time, it's barely usable. Everything was ok in mavericks (and osx yosemite, the first beta), however ever since I installed the Update 1.0, all went to hell.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? I can fix it by switching to a 5ghz mode for my router, however it's strange and I'd like to know what's causing it.

Thanks!

I had this issue... found out that turning off the bluetooth solved it.
Hope it helps.

Don't want to check through 14 pages but just wanted to say that Final Cut Pro 7 now works under DP3. If I get chance I'll try and get FCPX going too.

MAIL - display bug in DP3.

In Message list column the 'time' is pushed too far to the right and slightly out of view. Scrolling right to left will show all the info but enlarging the column width will not.

Also noticed Sort by drop down menu has moved to the bottom, why?!?!

Known Issues:
  • iMovie and Final Cut Pro X will not work with Developer Preview 3.
  • PhotoStream may not be functional in Aperture.
  • Only the latest versions of iPhoto and Aperture will work on this Developer Preview.
  • Canceling an update in the Mac App Store will prevent that update from being installed at a later time. To fix this restart the system and try again.
  • Text in the WiFi Menu extra may not be visible in Dark mode.

On The Interweb Thingy!
Took a look at 'Family Sharing'. Got to say it's not easy to add an address, the input filed is so small that the characters you type don't show up.

DVD burning weird with Toast Titanium

Yeah. Toast Titanium really struggling to understand itself in Yosemite.

It's finding it hard to recognise dual layer DVDs (or at least seeing them and suggesting that there isn't enough space). It will see a standard size DVD, but won't burn.

It's fairly annoying. Anybody else?

Before Yosemite, pressing the Play/Pause (F8) key would bring iTunes and pressing it again would start playing music. Now, that doesn't work even after starting iTunes manually. Also, the previous (F7) and next (F9) keys also stopped working even when I am inside iTunes.

I can't get handoff working on my 2013 MBA and it's giving me any options to accept phone calls and answer texts. It's not connecting to my iPhone through bluetooth at all.

Backing up with Time Machine to a non Time Capsule AFP share with "encrypt backups" enabled will make the AFP filesystem driver cause a Kernel Panic.

Edge case, I know, but it's a weird bug (maybe Apple are fiddling with AFP again).

203 Mac Pro does not have Wifi enabled. Going into network preferences and clicking on "Turn Wifi On" does nothing.

Luckily my ethernet connection is working perfectly.

----------

Rebooting into 10.10 from 10.9.3 causes my CyberPower UPS to shut off and my Mac because its attached to the UPS.

Once I turn the UPS back on and the Mac back on then it boots fine. It seems only happen when booting into 10.9.3 and then changing the start up disk to 10.10.
