This was checked for me but doesn't induce a lag. What is it meant to do and why would you want it? It doesn't appear to either slow down or even show up in my searches.

Maybe is due to my setup, but it's clearly noticeable for me.

Interesting. I just tried it on mine and it worked well. I don't usually use that feature and forgot about it.

I tried on my mid 2010 macbook and it worked but I get some graphical glitches when showing/hiding (i've already report it to Apple).

This is the kind of "bug" that should not exist to begin with. It is poor prgramming, and nothing else. Just like the constantly emerging "buffer overflows" that are plaguing today's software. When are programmers ever going to learn?

I have a fairly vanilla install, so it just shouldn't happen. Period.

And you are not here to "help", because you do not have the skills.

Never had that happen in any developer release of Yosemite. You might want to curb that kind of extrapolating bile vomiting until you at least figure out if anyone else has the same or similar bugs to you.

We are here to help, but check your anger at the door.

maybe is a problem with nvidia 320m

For some reason I can't send text messages in iMessage. In the previous beta I was able to but it's not allowing me to do so anymore. Maybe a restart will fix the issue.

Incomplete Dark mode, only the menu will go into dark mode and not the dock any ideas and its doing the same thing on my other Mac.

So my Dock is on the left side of the screen and works fine in Dark Mode. Where is your Dock and does it change if you move it to a new location or in auto-hide?

Using control + scrolling on a mouse or trackpad to zoom into the screen is very choppy and slightly unresponsive.

When scrolling past the bottom of a window in Finder, graphical glitching occurs.

When putting the primary display to sleep, it doesn't always fade out smoothly -- sometimes it just cuts to black right away.

Edit: The zooming is only glitchy for me when using a secondary display. When I use my MacBook on its own the issue does not occur.

In System Preferences, third row down, the 'Extensions' option is there. When I click into it I have 'All,' 'Actions,' 'Share Menu,' and 'Today.' In the lower right is a button to 'Get Extensions...' When I click it, the MAS opened up and I get this:

Your request produced an error.
[newNullResponse]

Is this a bug or is it not enabled yet?

Check it's not your desktop picture - the dock changes can be subtle.

Currently not possible to cut and paste items in Finder. Copying it and then trying to paste with alt + cmd + V doesn't work to move it either.

Guess it's not enabled yet - since both iTunes Store (not iTunes) and App Store isn't updated to Yosemite yet (new design and so on - within the Stores). Think we will see extensions in App Store when Yosemite finally is released, and not earlier.

That makes sense, thanks.

For some reason all my folders have no icons...well the folders that I've created at least. This is really annoying.

Keychain bug

I tried to activate iCloud keychain with the public beta, but it did not turn on because of some connection error. Now it turned off iCloud keychain on all my other devices. I still cannot get it to work on Yosemite, my iOs 7 iPhone 5, nor on Mavericks.

I sent a rapport to Apple using the assistant. Anyone else experience this?

Not really a bug, but the badge icon on the Mail app is way too big.
Safari crashes every time I browse Facebook.
That might be a Facebook issue lol.

Mostly good stuff for me so far, super fast on mid 2011 iMac, also looks quite good, I don't think it's quite night and day with that screen VS retina, it's a 21".

Two things:

- a few popups telling me that Java needs to be installed to run some web content when I'm not actually using Safari..and then it says there's not really a Java update for this version of OSX. No page issues when browsing though so I don't worry about it.
- Digital Color Meter is sadly nowhere to be found yet, and that's an awesome app. If Grapher survives, Color Meter should. Hopefully it'll be added.

Update: Digital Color Meter is now back. I did install a new JRE that's supposed to work with Yosemite, but once in a while at random I do get the popup again. It doesn't interfere with browsing other than being odd....

That is disabled in the "Public Beta" - it is only enabled in the "Developer Betas". All of the new iOS integration features are in the developer betas only, since only developers would also have iOS betas.

Also, just to make sure, don't just report the issues here - report them to Apple, too!

Yosemite WiFi

Longtime reader, first time poster. Normally I just peruse these threads and find my solution, but alas, is time it's not here. Running the public beta on an early 2008 Mac Pro. Other than he obvious graphics glitches, my main problem is my wifi no longer works. It looks like it's trying to connect to something but it does not. I've done SMC and PRAM resets, deleted prefs, turned Bluetooth off, repaired permissions and even turned off and on other network settings. No dice. Anyone have any advice? I'd like to have my Mac back online! Posting from my iPad btw...

Same here the first night it connected but took awhile that was it. Mine just scans and scans and finds nothing. No networks not even the neighbors. If I boot up in Mavericks all is well. Installed it twice to see if the second install would help but it didn't. Mine is an early 09 mac mini.

So, you are telling the class you are running a beta OS on your only Mac?
