If you disable your bookmarks bar and try to enable it again its enabling the statusbar instead until you quit and open safari again (not always happening)

Anyone have any idea what causes the failure to wake? Just had to power off and power up to get the iMac going again. I originally thought it was caused by leaving Activity Monitor running but after several 'clear' days it happened this AM again.

Also, are we likely to get another public beta before the final release?

Just curious.

Do you see something in the system.log?

This happened to me with my iMac early'08, running Mavericks and the problem disappeared after a clean installation. (of Mavericks)

What class of file are you trying to open? I can't reproduce the problem with common class files.

I had a simple text file with the extension .txt. I right clicked on the file and it said "fetching..." and a few second s later it showed my list. When the list did show around 14 apps were in the list. So it could be an issue with the number of items.

Just removed Office with AppZapper and trawled through the Library removing the sporadic MS files, did the reinstall and autoupdate and Word 'track changes' still crashing :(

Any luck w/ this?

Still an issue in Version 14.4.3 Word 2011

Yes, or a problem with a specific app of the list.

Does it boot up normally following this? If not, try pressing alt at the same time as the Mac Chime sound / screen turning on, and see if any disks appear...

Safari Tabs/YouTube Volume

The only couple of issues I have come across so far are in Safari. If I have multiple tabs open, sometimes the tab bar that shows all my tabs disappears. It won't reappear until restarting Safari or using the window viewer button (sorry I don't know the technical name for the button, lol). The other issue is that the YouTube volume always goes back to full volume if I click a new video.

Otherwise, 10.10 Yosemite seems to be pretty solid.

For reference I am running on a 13'' cMBP Mid-2012.

I haven't read all 24 pages to find out if anyone else has this problem, but it's a strange one ... at least, in my experience.

After working for an hour or two, I can no longer select or move a file or folder in the Finder. Well, I can select it, but I can't do anything other than watch the name change color.

If I restart or log out and back in, the problem is solved for an hour or so, then it crops up again.

I've booted into the Recovery OS and gone through Disk Utility to repair permissions until I'm blue in the face. The problem persists. Anyone have any ideas?

Already reported this issue to apple and saw a few people posting about this particular issue.

Any fixes on wifi working then suddenly slows down to a crawl?

I've already ruled out my router and ISP.

I just upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, but wasn't even able to log on after the upgrade. I have a MacBook Pro, and the screen went blank after boot. A boot in safe mode, got me to the login page but it went into a reset password loop. The only thing i found regarding this issue where related to filevault, but this is not enabled on my machine... Time Machine is my best friend today :)

That's really odd. Good thing you have a back up!

Is anyone having issues with FireFox? After I installed OS Yosemite, Firefox will not work at all. It opens then closes prompting a Crash Reporter each and every time.

*Update* Updating from FireFox 30.0 to 31.0

*Update* - Updated to 31.0 and turned off "Open in 32-bit".. Running smoothly so far.

I tried Firefox a couple of times and it worked fine for me. I'm on v31; which one do you have?

Has anyone noticed that in Safari when you have it remember your login/password to forums like this one, that it will not automatically login you in every time? It seems to work for a day or two, but then you have to enter the login/password again.

Sorry if this has already been reported, but did not see it. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I haven't seen anyone mention this one yet, and it hasn't happened to me either.

Unable to see wi-fi networks.

I'm still using a Late 2007 iMac (20"). Under Yosemite, my Mac doesn't see my wireless access point. However, I was able to boot Mavericks and connect to wi-fi with no problems.

Yep, I get that too.

Same here. It sort of "fixes" itself if I click back and forth between tabs.
