this only happens with messages

Have you reported it via the feedback app?

For everybody posting stuff here, please also give feedback via the Yosemite app for it. Then Apple can fix all the bugs and Yosemite will be perfect!

Yes let's keep reminding them. It's kinda of funny how other forum users are being asked to fix there issues! So just in case no one bothers to read the small print...

PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK VIA THE FEEDBACK APP

Found a new bug. I can't play any movies in iTunes Library. I can't even purchase any new ones through iTunes store. This is probably the first beta that gave me troubles with iTunes, just wow.

I have an early 2008 MacBook Pro with Mavericks 10.9.4, and I'm running Yosemite Public Beta on an external FW drive.

In Yosemite, Airport looks and looks and looks for a network, but never finds one.

When I boot back into Mavericks, I can see networks and connect fine.

I *would * have reported via Feedback Assistant, but that only runs under 10.10, needs an internet connection, so how do I report?

Anyone know what to do?

I believe it is just a bug with Yosemite. Exact same thing happens on my Late-2007 iMac. I've already reported it. If you plug into a physical ethernet connection, that would be your best bet for gaining Internet access.

Had another one of the "won't wake" episodes just now. The system rebooted itself and the crash report mentioned a kernel panic.

So far I haven't had any kernel panics or system crashes. I've just had buggy things happening.

That's a weird issue and one that I haven't seen yet.

Same here. It sort of "fixes" itself if I click back and forth between tabs.

I haven't tried clicking back and forth on mine to see if it clears it up. But I did report it to Apple.

I should try to do that on mine. So far al I've done is play some music and stream from iTunes Match.

Thanks for the response - I have checked all of my settings and they seem fine.

I haven't seen anyone mention this one yet, and it hasn't happened to me either.

Sorry if this has already been reported, but did not see it. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Bug 1: Safari randomly crashes when selecting search field, or typing in search field (may be SIMBL related).

Bug 2: Finder randomly loses window size and position, and regresses to default view.

Bug 3: Typography is horrendous, particularly in "dark" mode, with jagged ugly fonts.

Bug 4: Safari does not have active focus in search field.

Bug 5: Safari does not show the entire URL. While this makes sense on a little phone, it is counterproductive on screens with more real estate and for poeple who do work rather than just surf.

Bug 6: Safari may lose image data while switching tabs, leaving a black area.

Outstanding bug 1: Console.app (≠Terminal.app) window still does not remember position and size.

Outstanding bug 2: Safari does not remember window position either, this is becoming a bothersome trend with Apple.

Outstanding bug 3: Safari prefers showing recently viewed URL:s in the search field rather than bookmarks.

Unbug 1: Apache 2.4. Homebrew PHP is much faster on X.10

Unbug 2: The dreadful ntpd time bug has been fixed, and the clock is no longer drifting. Think about that, a computer that actually keeps time!

Improvement 1: Much more aggressive handling of cached memory

Improvement 2: X.10 is much faster than X.9

Safari leaks memory to the point that eventually apps start pausing themselves until i quit Safari.

Mail crashes frequently, when selecting certain messages or sending certain replies

using a mid 2012 Mac Pro that had 12GB RAM, I just put another 16 in there and after a couple of hours I'm up to 21.5GB RAM Used, and three individual safari web content processes are using over 1GB each, with a bunch more at least 600MB.

Everything seems snappier while it works, though. My favourite bug fix (which I submitted a report about a long time ago) is that when you right click something in the finder and hover over open with, the system would freeze while it loads the list. Now, it displays 'fetching' and allows you to move along. There does seem to be a bug where it sometimes doesn't fetch unless you try again, though.

I tried Firefox a couple of times and it worked fine for me. I'm on v31; which one do you have?

I just installed Firefox v31... It worked for a few hours then it stopped working.. IDK what's going on.

Please help

It keeps crashing after launching, like immediately after launching :(

I cannot stand Safari on OS :/

I'm not really sure how to help. But what does it say in Console when Firefox crashes?

So I've noticed that text looks much clearer if I disable system font smoothing for my Macbook Air.

Did a quick search and didn't find this. Not a deal breaker, mostly cosmetic but in the Smart Mailbox editing sheet (and the Rules sheet as well) the "+" and "-" buttons at the end of the line are mis-aligned causing the bottom item to overflow the bottom of the editing area if there are more than 1 item.

Late 2009 iMac 21.5" running public beta (10.10 14A299I) that was installed over a copy of my working Mavericks 10.9.4.

I briefly had a window of Yosemite connectivity Monday evening, (then it returned to none again on Tuesday)... I used the opportunity to report using Feedback Assistant.

I don't have physical access to a router or modem. My internet access options are exclusively wireless under Mavericks 10.9.4.

However, Apple contacted me today, and we spent a couple of hours on the phone troubleshooting the issue, gathering diagnostics to be passed on to the engineers. We will continue.

Can anyone try to move a app from a launchpad folder to another folder in the same move? In my case the text "Loading apps" appears and after that the lauchpad doesn't work properly: if you empty a folder, it remains empty and never dissapears. Then if you put any app on the empty folder, another app disappears
