Hey Guys, NEED HELP !

Am running Yosemite Beta 10.10 on y Macbook pro 13' retina.
I am unable to delete an app from the Launchpad. It shows a blank 'Microsoft OneNote' icon with status bar however i have already deleted the app. The Launchpad icon in my dock shows a status bar too.
It seems like i cant delete the icon, system restart or reset dock command in terminal didn't work either.

Tried erasing all app from Launchpad but that did not work; Here is the command i used which gave me an error -

"sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db "DELETE from apps; \
DELETE from groups WHERE title<>''; DELETE from items WHERE rowid>2;" \
&& killall Dock"

I get an "Error: no such table: app"

"killall Dock" command worked but that did not fix/remove the icon or status bar from the Launchpad.

Any suggestions ?

Regards,

J

PS: Find attached a screenshot.

Same thing happened to me. I have the app icons but they are all grey and one of them is repeated.

Folder Icons missing and Airplay bugs

Hi there,

Yesterday i installed yosemite on my macbook pro and found two major issues:

1) All my folders are missing their icons... i managed to fix this by get info>dragging .icns onto upper left corner. but this is tedious to do on every single folder... does anyone know how i can do this for all folders on my mac in one go?

2) Apple tv mirroring onto my tv takes up only a quarter on my tv screen. (i tried different setting like fit to screen/fit to external display but doesnt make any difference.

Thanks

Anyone having trouble with Wifi disconnecting every like minute?

I had this issue in DP2 on my 2010 MacBook. It was fixed in the DP3 release and I’ve not had any issues since.

Using WiFi Explorer, this is what the Network Details graph looked like on DP2:

Found this in another thread. Try inserting this command into the terminal. It worked for me!

defaults write com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad -bool true

killall Dock

Multiple Monitors doesn't work when full screening an app.

Like in ML, the other screens go blank, only the app full screen'd is viewable.

I'm not seeing that on my macbook Air with external monitor (used as primary). If I full screen on the external monitor, the laptop screen does not go dark.

Also works properly when I full screen on the laptop; external monitor continues to be usable.

Safari Issues

I've had Safari freeze and crash when trying to share a youtube link to Facebook through the share sheet, as well as not having new usernames/passwords being saved in the Keychain.

I already reported it to Apple and now? Should I wait for a reply or something? Because some days ago I sent them a message through there and I haven't got an answer since them

I'm not sure that Apple responds to all of them. I've submitted 11 bug reports now and I've not heard back on any.

Does anyone else have the problem of alphabetical sorting being messed up?

Files/folders/applications beginning with the letter X are placed between H and I, so for example

Echo.pdf
Foxtrot.pdf
Golf.pdf
Hotel.pdf
X-ray.pdf
India.pdf
Juliet.pdf
Kilo.pdf

This happens both in Finder and Launchpad for me...

Messages.app and Facebook xmpp

Hello,

When using Messages.app with Facebook chat (via jabber/xmpp) do you have contact pictures in a good enough resolution or does it look like it is resizing a smaller picture?

I think this also happened with Mavericks, so it is not a new bug but I was hopping it would get fixed in Yosemite. It drives my OCD self insane. :(

iMac won't wake up after long sleep

Hello i have the problem that whenever i put my iMac to a long sleep (> 3 hours) e.g. over night than it won't wake up from the sleep. I have to force a restart through the power button. Anyone else experienced something similar? Did you find a solution - because it is quite annoying.

I have that issue TheBass. Mine is a late 2010 27" iMac. What is yours? I haven't been able to find a cause. System logs show a kernel panic caused by the cpu failing to resspond - presumably when it's waking up.

Energy saver settings aren't working on my early 2013 15-inch rMBP. I've tried several different settings, on both battery and power adapter, and none work when the system is logged in. Only on the log in screen will the display actually darken.

No problem with the volume slider, no matter is translucent is on or off on my MBPr late 2013 (Public Beta)

Try the dark mode, and turn the transparency off ! ;)

I have a super annoying bug on my RMBP 2012 where the iSight camera/webcam isn't being recognized by most apps (Photo Booth, FaceTime, Skype, Hangouts, etc.)

If I restart it seems to work but then after sleep it says the camera isn't recognized again.

Any advice on solving this?
