Since today (???) I have issues with Safari entering passwords which are stored in the keychain. Normally, I don't even need to enter these (just once, after that it'll auto submit them in the background).

But now, this popup keep popping up and I have to force-quit safari because nothing else is responsive. It'll simply re-appear when I enter *any* login/password.

This is happening on all sites that use this method, they are working fine in Chrome etc...

Is this a known issue?

experiencing serious connectivity issues. when i option-click the wifi bars it says "Internet: Unreachable" but my twitter and stuff still refreshes, just not any websites or imessage.

I've just noticed an issue with my dock. When I open up programs, the icon reverts to this ugly greyscale/black version. Anyone else getting this?

I had to downgrade to Mavericks for a genius bar appointment but I clean installed Yosemite again last night.

When you select the Dark mode, there is an option for the Keyboards in the menu bar, to show the input source of the country flag

iTunes

I access my iTunes library through my airport express down by my pool (using cat5 cable) and I also have a Kohler shower system that would also access my library with a cat5 cable. Both of these haven't worked properly since I updated to Yosemite. Anyone have any idea if this is related to the upgrade, or is there something else I can do instead of waiting for the final version of Yosemite to show up in 6-8 weeks?

AirPlay through iTunes was broken in DP3 with iTunes 11.3, then fixed again with iTunes 12 in DP4. Then it broke AGAIN with DP5 (even though iTunes didn’t change). A workaround is to set your entire system output to the AirPlay device you want to use, but you don’t get multiple speakers.

Interesting, thx....I'll try that for by the pool, but the Kohler system never showed up in airplay, but just accessed the library, so I don't know how to get that working again. Any thoughts?

Does anyone else have this bug?
iPhoto failed to download/install and I tried to reinstall but it failed again, tried restarting and it's still there

Yes. Mine was with iMovie, but the same conditions and result. I did a clean install of OS X Yosemite.

I think this may be one reason Apple recommends NOT installing on your main computer, but on a secondary or, at least, on a separate partition, where you can startup with mavericks for your normal use, and startup w/yosemite beta to check it out.

I had a problem with itunes 12 not playing movies after last purchase...see here as to how I solved it, this may work for you?? https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1759849/

I deleted my boot camp partition this morning. Drive failed to delete properly via Boot Camp Assistant, Windows partition was still present at startup, and Disk Utility could not remove the partition, which OS X thought was free space. Tried using disk utility on a recovery USB, it also could not delete this persistent partition nor could it reformat the entire hard drive. The only way to erase the drive completely and reclaim all space on the drive was to delete the corestorage volume for Yosemite via terminal. I was then able to re-image the entire drive.

I didn't try reverting the volume from core storage but figured if the partition table was screwed up that badly it was the easier of two options to just go ahead and reformat and reinstall. Thankfully I have backups.

iTunes is messing up for me...when I add a new album to a pre-existing artist, it creates an entire new artist under the same exact name and settings and does not group the album with the pre-existing artist.

Idk if that makes sense to anyone, but it is extremely annoying, especially since I can't move the album at all within iTunes and place it where I want it. Wtf

Hmm. I don't actually know how that works. Presumably same as Apple TV? It might be related to this AirPlay bug. Seems likely anyway.

I'm having a weird issue here with Outlook. If I minimise its main window, then click on the Outlook dock icon some minutes later, it can take 5-10 seconds for the window to reappear. Only Outlook does this so I suspect its 'doing something else' in the background before maximising again, and whatever that is, its a bit slow.

this logo appears for 5-6 secs. just before apple logo at startup. then yosemite starts normally. any explanation?

Literally got this problem today. First time I've seen it and I've had Yosemite since day 1. Also, I've suddenly got an error where Mail saps all my system memory. According to Activity Monitor, Mail is using 63GB of memory. On a MacBook with 8GB of RAM.

Also worth noting, a restart does not return the icons back to normal. They stay grey and square. No new app installs in the last few weeks so I've no idea where this has come from.

I can't get exchange to work with my work servers to save my life, it only works if i have my office 2011 outlook open. So far that is the only real problem i have had with 10.10 and im using DP5 fulltime on my macbook pro retina.

I have had a few little hickups here and there like games the takes forever to fill in textures or i just notice them but im sure with drivers and the final product that will all be taken care of.

All my day to day apps besides the Mail app and b/c of the exchange issue my calendar app work pretty well!

In Beta 5 it's still not letting me send SMS Texts. I receive them no problem but it won't let me send them.

I have the exact same problem. I was about to make a thread about it. Has anyone else come across this problem? I've turned iMessages off and on, on both Yosemite laptop and my iOS 8 beta 5 iPhone 5S.

I think this continuity stuff is turning out more difficult for Apple to implement than they anticipated it to be and I wonder if it's issues with router firewalls. I can handoff just fine iMessages and Safari pages, and I can call out just fine from my rMBP. But received calls don't show up and sms messages don't show up at all and can't be sent. I think I've seen only one call successfully get handed off to my mac and show a notification.

anyone with a sound problem, i have found the fix from someone on the apple developer forums! put this in terminal:
sudo mv /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/InstantOn.driver /tmp

I did this and it said

"Andrew-Youns-MacBook-Pro-2:~ andrewyountemp$ sudo mv /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/InstantOn.driver /tmp
mv: rename /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/InstantOn.driver to /tmp/InstantOn.driver: No such file or directory
Andrew-Youns-MacBook-Pro-2:~ andrewyountemp$"

Yeah it's really weird and quite annoying. In one of the previous betas (I think Beta 3) it worked fine and now it doesn't seem like it ever wants to cooperate! Let me know if either of you guys find a solution to this problem.

When I export a video in quicktime player. It doesn't show the progress bar of how much has been export and doesn't show how much time is left.

----------

I keep putting iTunes in the very top left of the screen. But it keeps randomly moving down and to the right about 10 pixies.

----------

Scrolling on Chrome is very, very choppy. But this is probably a Chrome problem, not a Yosemite problem

Also VMware Fusion doesn't open at all, but this is also probably a VMware problem not a Yosemite problem

----------

Every time I close and re-open iTunes it doesn't remember that I had shuffle turned on.

I think that means your selected startup disc is not connected or otherwise not available. Try going to Settings/Startup Disc, change it to your yosemite drive and restart. If it's still there, then I'm not sure what it is about.

I have no idea what the hell is going on with Safari, but this seems a bit... excessive?
hmmm, I thought my 4GB of RAM was limiting, but, it appears to max out beyond whatever physical RAM you have.

When Safari slows down I do one of two things that help: 1) use Memory Clean (free app). 2) use Repair Permissions with Disc Utility. I'm not sure why my permissions get broken, but, someone said that apple's done something that breaks permissions on servers, I'm not sure how or the implications, but, repairing permissions works for me.

I've seen a new process that I'm not familiar with "coreduetd" taking 100% CPU on random occasions.

Anyone know what this new process is related to?
