Did anyone else notice that the enable handoff selection has been removed from the General settings option page?

If you highlight search handoff it still directs you there, but the option has been removed.
I noticed this today on my air running PB3, my MacPro running DP8 still has it. I think its a glitch with portables with latest updates

Not in beta 3 anymore

Anyone have an issue where the finder does not keep the column widths of any folder?

I filed feedback about the name column width issue after beta 1 and beta 2. Since I updated to beta 3, the name columns seem to keep their width for me.

Since upgrading to Yosemite I always get an error when trying to watch Netflix in Safari. "Display Error - There appears to be a display problem. Please ensure your monitor is HDCP compliant and is not mirrored using Airplay. Error Code: S7363-1266-48444350"

No one else seems to be getting it which is odd.

Outlook gives me the spinning beach ball

Is anyone else using Outlook for Mac and having SERIOUS laggiing problems? About every 2nd time I go back to the application, I get the spinning beach ball for at least 15 seconds if not more. It just seems like it freezes up completely. It also happen when typing emails or clicking on a folder.

My laptop has been feeling really slow since using Yosemite. Just in general there are stutters and delays on stuff. Got me a little annoyed.

Same here. I get the beach ball every time I switch between most apps. Extremely annoying, especially if I'm in a hurry.

Clean installing fixed most of the slowdowns for me on the GM for a '13 MBA, but the battery life is quite poor for a GM candidate (4 hours), and I've had a few crashes of Finder since installation. I think they will need second candidate before this is released.

By clean install do you mean doing a command + r at reboot and just selecting "reinstall OSX"?

Or something different?

Screen flickers

My Acer H203H monitor has begun flickering after the latest beta update. Not sure if it's the monitor or a bug. Anyone experience something similar. I'm on a 2011 mac mini.

It has to do with the graphics card power management. its been happening to me also. Go to settings and disable automatic graphic switching

Same on the 2011 mini with Radeon 6630.
Mission control, though improved from PB3, is a pain to use =(

Just noticed mine that went from 11 hours with PB3 to a little over 5 hours with this GM. Not good but I do hope it will improve with the final release..I sent a Feedback.

I don't like making new threads in an already crowded section, even though these aren't really "bugs", they are problems and annoyances.

First, Airdrop only works from my Mac to my iOS devices, not the other way around. I have a 2013 rMBP, and I don't know why it doesn't work. My rMBP detects the iOS devices and I can send pictures to them. But my iPhone and iPad won't detect the rMBP. I can send files from my iPhone to other iOS devices (did it several times while on vacation this past weekend with friends, all running both iOS 7 and 8). I would love to dump my photos/videos from my iPhone to my Mac with Airdrop. It would be super easy as I'm not a huge fan of iPhoto.

Second, if you select a video and tap the spacebar, you can play it in a "Preview" type of video player that isn't Quicktime. I don't know exactly what that is called, but what bugs me is that this preview player is no longer 60fps. It played 60fps videos in 60fps back with Mavs, but not in Yosemite (Yos? lol). QT does, but not the preview player.

Lastly, and this is the biggest IMO. I've used OS X since Lion, so not that long, I was a late adopter. However, why is it that after 4 generations of OS X, Apple cannot keep file organization how you set it to be? I like to arrange my files by Kind and in alphabetical order. Every time I restart my Mac, I have to manually go into each folder and set it to organize by type. Every single time. Mind numbingly annoying.

Oh, another thing. They resized my Finder window. WTF? I have to resize that every time I reboot the computer too. Come on Apple, stop messing with stuff that isn't broken and fix what is.

No offence but how is this s reply to my post about Yosemite and Netflix?

Yes, I'm having issues with my 2011 Mac mini (no problems with either PB3 or the mini's Windows 8.1 partition). It's connected to a Panasonic P55VT60 plasma via an Onkyo TX-NR636 receiver using HDMI.

The picture completely drops out every 2-3 seconds basically rendering the computer unusable when directly hooked up (screen sharing works okay).

Console logs report issues with the AmbientDisplayAgent (AMBD), so I've filed a bug report with Apple and will try a new install tonight after the graphics card switching fix suggested above (if indeed it exists for minis rather than MacBooks)...

EDIT - Tried reinstalling Yosemite, but no dice.

Other owners running HDMI 2.0 receivers are also reporting similar problems, so it seems to be an issue not specific to Yosemite: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/90-re...-avr-x1100-mac-mini-hdmi-handshake-issue.html. I had been running a HDMI 1.3 receiver with PB3 but upgraded it a week ago.

Looks like I'll be running Windows for a few weeks until an updated driver arrives. :(

FURTHER EDIT - After using Windows for the evening, I booted back into my Mac mini, and the HDMI handshake issue had gone. Why? Who knows... It's all part of the fun of beta testing...

FURTHER FURTHER EDIT - It's back again. Grrrr...

(Also getting the numbering issue described on the next page - my MBP is now reporting as MacBook Pro (3)).

They had better not be considering releasing this software in mid-October because it's still very buggy...

FURTHER FURTHER FURTHER EDIT - a cable swap and/or Beta 5 have solved the issue...

FURTHER FURTHER FURTHER FURTHER EDIT - or not. I'm at my wit's end now. It is fine with a direct connection between the plasma, and every other device is fine too. Just not the Mac mini in OSX hooked up via the Onkyo receiver. Oh well, Windows it is for the next few weeks because, well, it just works...

System keeps logging out.

My system keeps logging out for no reason. Doing normal things like minimising apps, opening and closing apps, opening tabs in browsers...hitting buttons in websites to submit forms...all kind of normal activity makes the system to log out and take me to the login screen.
Tried the feedback assistent twice...when i reach the final step to hit submit....logs out! Can't even submit a bug.

This happens since last night update to beta 4.

Edit: MacbookPro 15" late'13
