Am I the only one having the problem where Safari's web pages will not refresh when going back as with a 2 finger swipe or even the menubar back arrow?
This is really annoying when following forum threads.

That is a "Feature". My guess is that was done to make Safari appear more responsive. To make things even worse, that feature was added to Safari 7.1 on Mavericks. 7.0.x worked as desired.

I now open multiple message tabs using command-click. When I get done with the tabs, I refresh the forum page.

Yes I noticed it when I got sucked into upgrading my Mavericks system, took about 5 minutes to go back to 7.0.6.
The odd part is in Yosemite that other browsers I have tried have also lost this page refresh ability.
Another thing I tried was running Safari 7.0.6 on Yosemite, it did run OK, but also would not refresh when going back.

Another Feature...

On my July 2014 MacBook Air Yosemite 4 intermittently causes me to be sent to the user log-in screen. This did not happen with Yosemite 3. I have gone back to Mavericks on this Air.
I have Yosemite 4 running on a Mini and a 2011 Air with no issues.
If anyone has any thoughts please share.
Thanks,
Bob

I've been running the GM candidate since it released and have a few bugs:

1. Safari never automatically signs me into websites (such as macrumors). The browser remembers the username and password but I have to manually sign in any time I have restarted my iMac or just quit and relaunched Safari.

2. iTunes asks for my AppleID and password a lot. After every restart of the iMac or iTunes it asks. And sometimes it randomly asks out of the blue (as I have iTunes running about 95% of the time).

3. The downloads folder doesn't update properly after downloads (ex: when downloading something from safari the loading bar under the downloads folder just stays there until a restart of the iMac (see pic)).

All of these have been reported to apple so hopefully they get resolved quickly. More annoying than anything.

My system keeps logging out for no reason. Doing normal things like minimising apps, opening and closing apps, opening tabs in browsers...hitting buttons in websites to submit forms...all kind of normal activity makes the system to log out and take me to the login screen.
Tried the feedback assistent twice...when i reach the final step to hit submit....logs out! Can't even submit a bug.

This happens since last night update to beta 4.

Edit: MacbookPro 15" late'13

Exactly the same for me on my MacBook pro retina. It's killing me

I'm running OS X 10.10 public beta 4 (although the issue has been there in pb1). Whenever I wake my macbook pro up from sleeping, my computer name changes on the network from Chris's Macbook Pro to Chris's MacBook Pro (4)? I checked the network computers and i have Chris's MacBook Pro, Chris's Macbook Pro (1), Chris's MacBook Pro (2)........ all the way to Chris's MacBook Pro (12). I normally wouldn't care but for some reason one of my applications (that i paid for) is telling me that the the license is already in use by Chris's MacBook Pro (2), Chris's MacBook Pro (8), Chris's MacBook Pro (6) and Chris's MacBook Pro.

How can i fix this issue. I tried to go into my sharing settings and just change it from (4) to nothing. This didn't help.

Thanks.

I am getting very constant little freezes by doing anything.

Randomly it will lock up. As I am typing right now the text is constantly falling behind the line, and then it will freeze for two seconds and catch up all of a sudden.

Super annoying and if this is not fixed soon I'm not sure what the heck I'm going to do about it.

Never had this problem until Yosemite PB2, or sometime around that.

Not a bug, but it seems that graphic (3d) performance is worse compared to mavericks. Talking about games (cs go and no more room in hell) macbook air haswell.

Also youtube is really laggy when i first launch it (new tab)

I briefly had a window of Yosemite connectivity Monday evening, (then it returned to none again on Tuesday)... I used the opportunity to report using Feedback Assistant.

I don't have physical access to a router or modem. My internet access options are exclusively wireless under Mavericks 10.9.4.

However, Apple contacted me today, and we spent a couple of hours on the phone troubleshooting the issue, gathering diagnostics to be passed on to the engineers. We will continue.
This is probably old information now, but I'm posting it just in case anyone is still having issues with the 2007-ish iMacs. The second beta release appeared to remedy the connectivity issues with wifi, so now I can connect to my wireless network without problems.

PB4, not sure if anyone else can reproduce this - I already reported both issues. The Calendar app freezes every single time I try to open it. It tries to update the calendars and this never works. I can't open the application and get it into a workable state.

A related problem: System preferences freezes when I try to check the iCloud "sync calendar" checkbox. Ergo, Calendar and accompanying iCloud sync options are completely screwed for me. My Calendar notifications still show up in the pane, though. :S Resorted to using GCal online.

Multi gestures

Three- and four-finger gestures eventually stop working on my MacBook Air, thus I can't swipe between full screen apps, use launchpad, app expose or mission control. The problem is gone when I restart MacBook Air and emerges again without any specific reason. Hope that this is a temporary bug.

Just installed PB4 over my Mavericks install on a mid-2014 15" Retina. Seems OK so far. I've noticed that few of the animations are choppy - best example is switching tabs in "About This Mac." Haven't noticed anything else so far - which is great!

PB4 update again

I don't know why PB4 has been offered to me again this time. Had it installed on Oct 1 but the update installed again today.

These are the bugs I ran into

I actually liked my experience with Beta 4 until I found that Safari Share button had "No Services" and when I tried to use Apple Mail I got a Certificate Expired error every other time, I could get in by checking a Box to trust the site but it required it each time. Never happened before in any other other version of OS X. I am back on Mavericks again, created a new account for Mail. Will wait for final release and then read all the bug reports before installing.

Anybody running on the Public Beta ever had their Serial Number wiped from the logic board? My iMessage and FaceTime worked during PB1 and somewhere during 2-3 it stopped working. After spending an hour with a senior advisor we narrowed it down to the Serial Number being unavailable and not able to generate a key for iMessage and FaceTime connection.

This is exactly the same with me too! Beta 3 was fine. I cant even submit feedback without a crash and log out. Utter disaster! Ive rolled back to Beta 3 using Time Machine...losta whole day of work. Silly me not waiting until these bugs had been ironed out. Damn shame coz I was enjoying it.

Apple TV "cannot connect to library" issue with latest GM build and iTunes 12 build. All usual fixes do not correct the issue (signing in/out of store and home sharing, restarting all machines, network, etc.) Seems others are experiencing this as well. Have submitted a bug report.

Having worked around the previous bug (see below) I thought I'd mention another one. I live in a German-speaking country, but my system's set to English. Finder still displays elements in German, though. (Tags colors, Desktop). Already reported.

PB4, not sure if anyone else can reproduce this - I already reported both issues. The Calendar app freezes every single time I try to open it. It tries to update the calendars and this never works. I can't open the application and get it into a workable state.

FIX: Deleting the entire Calendars folder in the Library & manually adding Calendar accounts through Internet Accounts will get the calendar to work.
I got this idea noticing that my Mavericks backup had no Calendars folder in the Library at all and everything worked.

NEW GLITCH: Calendar will now show as "closed" even though the app is open. (no white dot indicating the app is open.) At least this one doesn't affect functionality.

Hi,

1. For me, it just changed a bit such that I have to click on the login box and wait for it to offer me a suggestion whereas before it would populate the fields. You could try "shift cmd A" for "Edit / AutofillForm". I've created a BetterTouchTool gesture to do that, pause a tiny bit then hit enter. Works for me.

2. iTunes stopped asking me for passwords once I stopped deleting my cookies from Safari. I use "safaricookies" extension and added Apple to the list of cookies it doesn't delete on exit. iTunes hasn't asked me to log in since.

3. Can't reproduce that - mine works as expected.

Another bug in the App store. Under "Purchases" I'm asked to accept 6 apps (all the Apple ones) when I click accept, it tells me I've already accepted said apps. Yet regardless of what I do, App Store keeps on insisting I have yet to accept the apps, anyway.

This is quite hilarious.

Final update on the Calendar stuff from my previous posts: iCloud sync now works after the fix I mentioned.

Also, Mail likes to crash on me after being open in the background for a long time.

I can replicate this error every time on my MacBook Pro.

1. If I try to open a PDF file
2. If I "right-click" and choose "Get Info" (or even "Get Info" from the menu)
3. If I try to open a DMG
4. If I try to attach a file to the feedback assistant (handy that one)

I have booted up in Safe Mode and these errors do no occur.

I checked the EFI Firmware Version and it did not match to the one recommended for a late 2013 MBPro. Not sure whether this is to do with it.

Are there any errors of interest in the Console when the logoff occurs? You may need to use Safe Mode if Console also does the logoff. Also, if you have another user on the machine, does it occur for that user?

Thanks for the reply DS.

All looks far too complicated for me!
I do see things like "Error -60005 creating authorization" and "Endpoint has been activated through legacy launch(3) APIs"

I don't have any other User Accounts on my MBPro.
I do on my iMac, need to check whether they get the same problems.

Many Thanks.
