Odd to learn of this. My Traktor works flawlessly on 10.10.1... No problems, glitches or freezes... I'm curious as to your setup and any conflicting apps that may be causing your problem.

Macbook pro mid 2012 basic spec, with 8GB of DDR3 1600mhz RAM, no external equipment used whilst trying to open Traktor, and I'm not sure how to get an entire list of apps. But I've tried a full system reinstall, tried several versions of Traktor and nowt. What I have noticed is that the audio box on the UI has a red line through it (the program opens, shows the decks and the initialization screen, and then becomes unresponsive) so it looks like it's an extension of my audio problems - my guess is that Traktor has an issue with finding the core audio driver, panics and then goes into an infinite search loop.

Edit: given up, downgrading to Mavericks.

I've attached a picture, where I typed in "Floyd", without the name: modification. It found ONLY files with "floyd" in the filename. It did not find files that contained the name "Floyd" -- otherwise, some other ones would have shown up.

One of the most best ever search strings I've seen here on MacRumors!

Have a Late 2013 27inch iMac, connected to AE 802.11ac with ethernet. Every couple of hours the connection starts acting up, and even AirPort Utility can't connect to the Airport.. Turning Wifi on and back off fixes the connection immediately. (WiFi fixes Ethernet connection!!)

I've disabled the new multipath TCP by setting net.inet.mptcp.enable=0 and so far no problems.. at least no connection problems. I still get slow app launches (somehow launching apps like Safari/Chrome/Coda triggers disk spin-ups on my Mini - which stall everything for 30-40 seconds)

All these problems, lockups and issues remind me this:

If you are on the Developer seed for OS X Yosemite, DO NOT update to OS X 10.10.2 (14C68K) Beta 1 if you want video playback on Safari to work.

I had to switch over to Chrome just because of this issue. I hope Apple won't be slow with the next update because this was really annoying. Not even the DP's had this issue.

It really does make you wonder what the heck has happened to any resemblance of quality control over there. It's almost like they are just throwing random stuff at the wall and then to unleash it on the testers.

10.10.1

Notes has stopped synching to my iOS devices via iCloud.

When I wake the computer from sleep, I have to close and reopen apple.mail to get new messages or send messages.

And don't even get me started on use dark menu bar and doc...

Time machine is completely borked, had to switch over to carbon copy cloner to have a reasonable expectation of back-ups

On a multi-monitor set-up, open windows randomly get lost, they show-up in mission control but there is no way to get to them

Itunes Sync is broken as well... Hangs when trying to sync with iPhone 6

Yosemite definitely is not ready for prime time...

I'm also having trouble with Apple Mail although it does eventually work. iTunes Sync is also a problem. Reinstalling OS didn't help with either.

Sorry to reply to my own post but I have a solution :D

I completely removed silverlight from my iMac (ALL TRACES) rebooted and launched safari and netflix, fully expecting to have to download and reinstall silverlight.

Netflix came up and ran the video without any issues and without asking for silverlight, hmmmm

YMMV

Getting rid of Silverlight also helped me. But, I still have problems with Safari, which hangs regularly and it is not a problem with a website since it does so on loading different websites.

----------

I have the same issue with various social media flatforms and forums, I find it really frustrating. It didn't use to be like that. It basically makes private browsing useless.

I've had the same problem in Private Browsing. It doesn't seem to be happening in regular browsing, but there are some sites in which I want the protection of Private Browsing. Yes, it is frustrating and I hope it is fixed in the next update. However, I had this happen in Mavericks as well so it is not limited to Yosemite.

----------

Awful, awful safari lag. Not when scrolling or anything. But opening a new tab will sometimes take several seconds, often making the beach ball appear. Switching tabs can take ages as well.

Any ideas? I tried emptying caches, clearing history and website data, disabling transparency, repairing permissions, resetting pram and smc, none of which have worked.

Late 2013 rMPR 13"

This should not happen on this machine

I have the same problems sometimes: it is not consistent. Not only does Safari lag when opening tabs, but it often hangs. I have tried all the things you have, and I agree, none of them work. I have also reinstalled the OS, but that didn't fix this either. At this point, I have no suggestion and I hope Apple fixes this in the next update.

Does anyone have this issue with Safari on 10.10.1? It's actually been an issue since the early betas of 10.10. When on certain sites, hovering over a hyperlink causes not just the link you're hovering over to flash to bold, but every link on the page.

I've posted a link to a screen cap of the behavior. It starts doing it about 6 seconds in.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5378160/screen.mov

This behavior does not occur in Mavericks with Safari and even in Yosemite it doesn't happen when I use Chrome or Firefox.

What is going on here?

Do you guys have issues with app store? The categories only list titles but no app icons on my mba.

I went to apple store earlier today; seems all the macs with 10.10.1 there have the same issue...

Well this is random and just started happening like 20 minutes ago, but sometimes when I change tabs on Safari my keyboard switches to Japanese. (I have English and Japanese enabled in the toolbar thing, but it switches without me clicking on it).

Any idea what might be happening?

Same Problem

Since upgrading to Yosemite I always get an error when trying to watch Netflix in Safari. "Display Error - There appears to be a display problem. Please ensure your monitor is HDCP compliant and is not mirrored using Airplay. Error Code: S7363-1266-48444350"

No one else seems to be getting it which is odd.

New to forums in general so please forgive... Having same exact issue, or so it seems. Sorry I upgraded to Yosemite. Also having problems with Logitech trackpad working at minimal capacity???

10.10.1, Airport Utility intermittently cannot find Airport devices, Extreme and Express. Sometimes restarting the application works. Running from a 10.9.5 machine always works.

I had the same problem in 10.10 and it persists into 10.10.1...

Hi guys,

from the update i've a various spectrum of bugs, but you know this! There is a special one that i've searched on this forum but i don't found it!
I would like to know if it happens to you the same. I've a Macbook Pro Retina 15 mid-2014: when i put it in sleep mode for a bit of time (g.e. 12/13 hours) when i wake up it emits a strange sound, like an interference noise, for 1 second; after a log in sometimes all is well, no issues, other times instead the sound feedback from the volume buttons +/- stop working. Yosemite 10.10.1 audio driver bug or hardware issue?

Thanks in advance.

I am running a 3 monitor system with one vertical monitor (for use with vertical documents, web, word, etc)

Word is completely broken now on the vertical monitor, dialog boxes launch completely off screen, label templates are broken, etc...

Pages and LibreOffice work just fine, lets see if MS updates OFM

iBooks looping crash

iBooks crashes on launch and asks if I want to reopen the previous window. Regardless of whether choose to reopen or not, iBooks "quits unexpectedly" and gives the ignore/report/reopen options. Reopen just crashes again, so there's no way to use iBooks at all.

At this point I'm thinking the only solution may be to reinstall Yosemite and hope for the best.

I have late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina and have had the same problem with strange sound after sleep. It started with 10.10 and has continued in 10.10.1. It only occurs intermittently, but I have found it worrysome. At first I though it might be hardware related; but, since it started with Yosemite, it is more likely the OS.

Safe Boot Kernel Panic

Problems with Safe Boot. When I reach the login screen, either I cannot login or the spoked wheel keeps on spinning. The screen sometimes alternates between showing my login and guest login, but neither seem to work except intermittently. It's clear that the screen is scrolling as it always does when accessing a safe boot, but it is blocking a login. I've gone into Recovery Disk and corrected permissions as well as verified disk. I've already reinstalled 10.10.1 once and don't want to have to do it again. Does anyone have any suggestions?

By the way, has anyone else found that many of the bugs are intermittent?

Sorry for the post. It's now working again. I reset NVRAM and SMC (had to do it several times), and I can now do a safe boot. Hope it holds!

Thank you so much for the reply, thus seems a software problem. We just attend an Apple update hoping that fix this stupid issue.

Your Spotlight index is corrupted causing an incorrect readout on that screen. Run the command below in Terminal and wait for Spotlight to reindex and that should fix it. Seems to be a common issue with Yosemite.

Code:
sudo mdutil -E /
