Your Spotlight index is corrupted causing an incorrect readout on that screen. Run the command below in Terminal and wait for Spotlight to reindex and that should fix it. Seems to be a common issue with Yosemite.

Code:
sudo mdutil -E /

It did help! thx! :D

Hi guys,

anyone have noticed that the trackpad for a while (2-3 days) works and in a random moment the multi-gestures stop working (2/3/4 fingers), works properly only the cursor and the click? After reboot all works fine but i don't want reboot a mac every 2-3 days!

And another bad thing are interface micro-lags, holy **** Yosemite 10.10.1 is inadmissible that works like that on a high-end rMBP 15 mid 2014!!! Happens to you?

Thank you a lot.

No Audio Retina iMac

Just received my iMac today (woohoo!) and got it running. All so far seems fine, using eth0 instead of wireless... but then updated to 10.10.1, NO AUDIO!! Don't understand what happened. Show's not connected as the name of the sound device!

Any advice on what to do now? It's only been on a few hours and already its broken!

From a fab Mac to a crap Mac after update to Yosemite

Hi Guys, always had a PC and about a year ago I bought a MAC.. Best thing I have ever done… Such a great computer… that was…. Until the recent update.
My MAC constantly freezes and more often than not I am Force shutting like every programme I open…

If I leave the computer untouched for like 2 min without closing everything down, I just have to switch it off at the back, as it does absolutely nothing.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO FIX THIS:mad:

Does anyone have this issue with Safari on 10.10.1? It's actually been an issue since the early betas of 10.10. When on certain sites, hovering over a hyperlink causes not just the link you're hovering over to flash to bold, but every link on the page.

...

This behavior does not occur in Mavericks with Safari and even in Yosemite it doesn't happen when I use Chrome or Firefox.

What is going on here?

Go into your Safari Preferences, and turn OFF extensions. Quit Safari, then reopen. Go to that same Appleinsider site. Do you still get the same highlighting of all links?
If not, then it's one of your extensions that may not be behaving properly with Yosemite Safari.

Do you guys have issues with app store? The categories only list titles but no app icons on my mba.

I went to apple store earlier today; seems all the macs with 10.10.1 there have the same issue...

It's been a week, still broken.

I have a major issue with Chrome on the recent Yosemite 10.10.2 Beta.

When ever I try to launch Chrome it starts up and crashes as soon as I hover my mouse over anything. This issue is relevant with Chrome Version. 39 and 40 (Beta for Yosemite).

Anyone know how to fix this? If so, it would be much appreciated!

When will Yosemite be fixed?

Downloaded the update when it came out - big mistake, I never do that - I usually wait till bugs are worked out. That said, I had to go back to Maverick, nothing was working and I have a brand new macbook pro. Even now after the move backwards, the App Store doesn't work properly, I have intermittent slowness and drag, wish I had never make the change - hoping all will be fixed with Yosemite soon......:( Also, had to leave Safari and install Chrome - I keep having issues that Safari can't get a secure connection on a site, so I couldn't access this site, my banking site and many others - very frustrating. I want my reliable, never have an issue macbook back.....grrrrr

Let see here.

- When disconnecting from screen sharing the servers are still listed in Finder even though u are not physically connected (aka u remotely rebooted system)

- Graphic issues when screen sharing black artifacts..

- Finder window bar not appearing, just the window, then the toolbar (including close, maximize buttons etc) appear after window is on screen.

Then again, this IS 10.10.1 ... Apple has 8 or 9 more releases to get this right

- Probably not a bug, but there is now no sound when u raise/lower the volume slider as previous OS.

What can i say,, i notice these things :)

Clean install OS X 10.10 again from a USB installer, use migration assistant from your backup (?) for your user account/apps/documents and enjoy and DONT update until issues and bugs are cleared, stay tuned on MR for that!

Good luck!

I know a lot of people are having wifi & ethernet issues, which I am also having, but I have a couple others to report. iPhoto is crashing on startup. Several restarts, shutdown later. Not sure what it could be. Also my (wired) keyboard is not being recognized when waking from sleep. Sometimes I can get it to connect if I unplug and replug it, but usually I have to do a restart or two. Just thought I'd throw it out there. 10.10.1 on an early '09 Mac Pro.

I ran across this fix yesterday. Apparently it is related the the trackpad API.

Scrolling Mail Folder List

When I drag an email from the email list to the mail folder list to file it and attempt to scroll up the list while dragging the email, the list won't scroll. It will scroll down, but not up.

Safari Crashes... causing everything but the mouse pointer to freeze.
Scroll bars in side bar (finder) flash on and off for no apparent reason.
iCloud drive doesn't show in 'Recent Places'
Spotlight view is buggy - jumping and adding/removing results constantly

and on a slightly different note - I can't get Dreamweaver CC to work. Java SE 6 installed, all other Adobe apps work, but dreamweaver just fails to load.

Interesting thing just started happening in finder. I always sort by last opened or last modified. About a week ago, every time i click on something it jumps the item to the bottom under 2000(for year) o_O i have no idea why. Even if i just downloaded something.

Seems to me that most hardware issues with OS X 10.10.x are related to the Mac Book (Pro)s! Much less are reported by Mac Pro users?

That likely is because of real numbers.
There's a lot more MBPro owners than Mac Pro owners.
And, more users likely means more potential reports of problems, as they may appear.

Mac Issues (Yosemite)

I downloaded Yosemite about 2 weeks ago and everything was going well until yesterday. Now my screen keeps freezing and I have to restart it to get it working again. This works for about 2 minutes and it happens all over again. I have 2 mac airbooks and it's happening on both of them. Any ideas?
