I'm reposting my question:-
I'm facing a bug with revamped private browsing of Safari 8.0 on Yosemite release build. In private window the facebook login in only valid in the tab that you have logged in. When you open another facebook link using "Open in other private tab" it asks you to login again in new tab. How to fix this???

I have the same issue with various social media flatforms and forums, I find it really frustrating. It didn't use to be like that. It basically makes private browsing useless.

Awful, awful safari lag. Not when scrolling or anything. But opening a new tab will sometimes take several seconds, often making the beach ball appear. Switching tabs can take ages as well.

Any ideas? I tried emptying caches, clearing history and website data, disabling transparency, repairing permissions, resetting pram and smc, none of which have worked.

Late 2013 rMPR 13"

This should not happen on this machine

Please someone try this:

-Create a folder inside Launchpad.
-Put the icons outside this folder (folder should vanish otherwise move it to the trash).
-Reboot you mac.
-The empty folder is still there. There's no way to delete it.

Happened to me from beta 1 to final release.
And yes, I've got a clean install for the final version.

--------

Am I the only one who experiences the Messages window jumping around the screen?
Yes. For some reason sometimes iMessage window and Safari tabs follow my mouse while I'm not dragging them.

Resetting Launchpad using the below command gets rid of the erroneous folders.

defaults write com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad -bool true;killall Finder

Works a treat... :)

Since installing Yosemite my 2011 MBP has run very well. But there is something weird about MacRumors.

When I click on the front page of MacRumors I get a blank window. Nothing but blank white window in Safari. What could possibly be causing this?

In order to read the front page threads I have to click on Forums then click MacRumors.com News Discussion.

Any ideas??

Safari keeps a content cache, right?
Try clearing it. There should be an option somewhere in prefs.
Don't have MacRumors site open when you you clear.
Quit and restart Safari.

-Above method works for stuff like this in Firefox.

Hi,

Really want to clean your OSX Yosemite after a clean install and migration assistant?

ONYX is now avaliable for OSX Yosemite, check it out!

OnyX is a multifunctional utility for OS X. It allows you to verify the startup disk and the structure of its System files, to run miscellaneous tasks of system maintenance, to configure the hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock, Spotlight, and of some of Apple's own applications, to delete caches, to remove a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome, and more.

I'm having a problem with full screen flash vid's and games, such as youtube, can anyone help? Think it's a bug but there might be something wrong too, tho the whole computer has been running funny since i upgraded, deeply regret it now.

I did a restart typed my password in too early after the reboot and was left with a glitch where it seemed I was hitting the return button repeatedly (even when I turned it off).

I had to do a hard switch off and when rebooting it took me through to the screens where I could reset my password, well I didn't want to, but I had no other option but to reset my password again -even after powering down again (plus I couldn't soft exit from there either)

- when all I wanted to do was just boot into the login screen again.

Hope that doesn't happen again.

HELP

Brand new 5K iMac running Yosemite (10.10)

The only bug so far is after coming out of sleep mode, the Magic Mouse works for pointing but the scroll and touch sensitive features are broken.

Reboot and they work again. Ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Oh and when the touch scroll features are working my system pref> Mouse window looks like this:

After waking from sleep and the touch scroll isn't working, system pref> Mouse window looks like this:

Sorry if this has been posted before, but Yosemite keeps asking me for accessibility permissions on all of the programs I use. It never saves the preferences, and if I have to keep manually updating my programs, because auto-updates get ticked off on their own. How do I fix this? I'm tired of having to set the same preferences every time I want to use any of my programs.

Since upgrading to Yosemite I always get an error when trying to watch Netflix in Safari. "Display Error - There appears to be a display problem. Please ensure your monitor is HDCP compliant and is not mirrored using Airplay. Error Code: S7363-1266-48444350"

No one else seems to be getting it which is odd.

I get it everytime I try to watch netflix on my iMac or Macbook Air...

Netflix' solution is to use another browser, probably a silverlight incompatibility.

Since installing Yosemite, Safari doesn't run as well on my 1st generation retina Macbook Pro. Websites sometimes stall when opening, but when I close and reopen they come right up. I have gotten recovered files in the trash daily (installed Yosemite day 2) usually with titles like MerpAD Database Daemon. I had my modem replaced 2 days ago to an upgraded one by Comcast and in general Safari has been faster, but still get slow or stalled openings of websites sometimes. I haven't cleared history or website data as I don't want to re-enter things if this is not the problem. Any thoughts?
