Safari Private Window: Facebook Login session

I'm reposting my question:-
I'm facing a bug with revamped private browsing of Safari 8.0 on Yosemite release build. In private window the facebook login in only valid in the tab that you have logged in. When you open another facebook link using "Open in other private tab" it asks you to login again in new tab. How to fix this???

Login screen graphical glitch

Sorry forgot to post the pic

...when I open up my laptop 1 of 3 things happen

1 - It works normally
2 - Screens black for about 30 secs with working cursor then I'm prompted to the login screen
3 - Screens black for about 30 secs with working cursor then the screen is all glitched (see pic)

Odd thing is only the BG img is messed up and not the login field or the profile img.

Anyone else having this problem?

Same problem here!

I'm having 2 problems I haven't seen mentioned in this thread. Just to add to the growing list, and to see if anyone has advice.

1) The Quick Look function doesn't work for any .gifs, and is spotty on other dynamic file types (.mp3, .mov), although the static image files work fine.

2) A more bothersome issue is yet another Yosemite wifi glitch. About once every 15 minutes, my wi-fi signal will reset and give me the popup message that "Another device on the network is using your computer’s IP address (192.168.0.2)." I've gone into the router and it doesn't show any other device has used that address. I've turned off the wifi on every other device in the house, and I still get the message. I'm using DHCP with static reservations. (This glitch does not occur at the office where we have a VPN). This never happened before the upgrade to Yosemite.

My specs are:
MacBook Pro (early 2011)
2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

As far as I know, Not a bug. It's designed so that each private tab is individually private.

Mail just plain doesn't work with any of my Gmail accounts.

Probably Google hindering usage. They made it so that you cannot have push natively on iOS unless it was grandfathered in, it's probably the same thing with Mail on OSX.

FWIW, my Google account continues to work flawlessly in Yosemite.

10.10.1 broke my Gmail. Can't send emails from the built in Mail app since updating. For some reason, mail has added my email address after the smtp server e.g. smtp.googlemail.com:example@googlemail.com. Never noticed that before, but now I keep getting an error saying "could not send as server requires authentication".

Does anyone use SNMP to monitor OS X? I am actually on OS X Server 4.0 and since the upgrade I constantly experience SNMP (i.e. OS X's native snmpd) response timeouts that was not a problem during previous 2 major versions of OS X and Server.
Am I the only one who sees this? If anybody does have a solution, I would appreciate if he/she could share it here on this thread.

I've had this one pop up now and then since Mavericks. Every now and then the search box in Launchpad will stop working Like it'll suddenly be completely impossible to type in, even if I click on it. The only way I've found to fix it is to reboot.

1) I had a USB drive plugged into my AirPort Extreme and was able to use this to store my iTunes library. After installing Yosemite I can no longer connect to the network drive through my AirPort Extreme.

2) My computer keeps renaming itself, appending higher and higher numbers to the original name: MacBook Pro (1), MacBook Pro (2), etc. I keep resetting it but am currently back to MacBook Pro (3) again. :/

3) Preview seems to eventually slow the computer down to a crawl. Working with multiple PDF files, or large PDF files with lots of annotations, is extremely painful. Mavericks handled the same workload with zero problems. When it gets bad enough I have to restart (quitting Preview isn't enough).

Apple Mail

Mail is not showing if an email has been answered or not. Sometime the little icon that shows you when an email has been answered it appears, sometimes not... very wird.

Keyboard shortcut going to spaces to the left doesn't work.

Keyboard shortcut going to the right spaces works, but keyboard shortcut taking you left does not. Is this a known bug? (It shows as enabled under System Preferences.)

I called Apple and they said it was my system so they had me reinstall Yosemite. Since this was going to take a while we ended the call.

But I still have the problem. It was working before the initial update to Yosemite. Does anybody know? Please advise, thank you.

Messages app, if it's open behind another window, and you click on it to bring it to the front window, it jumps to wherever you clicked. Drives me crazy.

Sound Issue - No Output Device Found

For those who are having problem with sound on your iMAC. Basically it seems that your internal speakers cannot be found and you have tried the sound preferences fix, "sudo killall coreaudiod" and resetting the PRAM, you can try this before you reinstall Yosemite.

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Wait fifteen seconds.
4. Attach the computer's power cord.
5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Apple Support

It works on my iMAC (27-inch, Mid 2011). Hope this help.

I was having huge issues with graphics in Yosemite. I'd get trailing around windows, mangled up pixels in preview w/ PDF files, lots of problems in newest Adobe CC apps. This is what it looked like:

What helped a lot (at least it seems for now) was doing clean install of Mavericks. All the glitches are gone and Adobe apps work as expected as well. At this point I'll probably wait for 10.10.2 release. I never had such unstable OS X in the past (running 2 weeks old MBP Retina late 2013).

This probably isn't a bug, but swiping pages in Safari is annoying me now. It used to be that you could swipe back a bunch of times in a row to go to a certain page. Now you have to wait until the first page loads before you can swipe to go back further. It really slows me down.

Since upgrading to Yosemite I always get an error when trying to watch Netflix in Safari. "Display Error - There appears to be a display problem. Please ensure your monitor is HDCP compliant and is not mirrored using Airplay. Error Code: S7363-1266-48444350"

No one else seems to be getting it which is odd.

I just got the new 27in iMac and am having exactly the same issue, Anyones else or any fix??
