Well, after a few days, 4 or 5 or so, of using Chrome, I haven't dropped wifi once. Not sure what the bug is or where it lies. I used Firefox on and off and no problems. Has anyone else experienced this, losing wifi using Safari?

Mac Mini 2011 , getting screen distortion into blocks when using mission control with a few windows , ends up total garbled mess

Restarting fixes the problem

Not impressed with Yosemite at all

Also menu bars keep going black , why is that ?

Maybe my mac mini is up the creek ??

More likely that Yosemite is just a buggy pile of junk imo.

Add attachment to mail - search by match filename only

Hi there,
when adding an attachment to mail it is not possible to search for parts of a filename, which is odd.

I have to know the exact filename in order to use the search feature.

I asked Apple support but they did not know how to change this.

There should be a setting in preferences with regard to search options.
I want to search for contains rather than matches on filenames or contents.

Any ideas if this is a bug or just me not finding the right configuration?

Thanks a lot for any helpful comment.

Hi! I'm having an issue that I don't recall having it on previous OS X

In OS X Yosemite (clean install of 10.10.1), when I drag a file or folder to Finder icon in the Dock, it doesn't open a new Finder window. I mean, If I have all Finder windows closed, dragging a file or folder on Finder icon doesn't open a Finder window (in order to select the folder where i want to move my file, and drop it there).

I remember having that functionality in Mountain Lion / Mavericks. ¿Is that a known issue or a new feature of Yosemite?

If I want to drag and drop using the Dock Finder icon, I have to have at least one Finder window already opened. Whilst on other apps I don't have to have it previously opened. e.g: I drag a text file over the TextEdit dock icon, and it opens TextEdit.

Thanks!

Ok Bruno, for instance, if I have a file on the Desktop, and I want to move it quickly to a folder on Finder, it would be pretty intuitive to drag that file over the Finder icon in the dock, then a Finder window would open, and finally I could drop it where I wanted.

This is the idea, and I don't know why, I thought it was possible on Mavericks.
Maybe that was never possible and I'm thinking it was. I don't want to re-install Mavericks to try it.

Thanks!

Download icon in the taskbar is still broken. After completed downloading a file using Safari, it still shows as if something is downloading.

com.apple.geod (Not Responding) - I have disabled everything that uses location service. Why can't they fix this thing?

Onyx for Yosemite

Post any bugs you find in here...

Im pretty impressed that it hasn't been as buggy as other betas.

Ive ran into one bug so far. When scrolling the applications folder and reaching the bottom is jumps to the middle of the pane.

I have downloaded to latest Onyx 9.2.4, however after a very short blue bar, I get the whirling ball and in False Quit I get the message saying that onyx is not responding.

I have MacPro on 10.10.1

How did you get your Onyx to work?

I'm glad I don't have Spotlight set to index my emails for me.

That has nothing to do with spotlight indexing. The article is about using the "menu bar" system wide spotlight to preview email. All the happens is that the preview will load and display remote content even if the user has that setting turned off in Mail. Most people probably have that in in Mail anyway, so I see this as a made up problem.

Mail 8.1 vs. cox.net

Mail 8.1 is erratic when connected to cox.net. It takes spells of not entering the correct identity or password. Will not send or receive at these times. I tried to go back to OS 9 on my Time Machine but that isn't working either.

At the moment only bugs I'm experiencing are bluetooth connection problems and Safari freezes.

Bluetooth won't connect to bluetooth devices. Happens all the time. I have to either switch bluetooth on and off or if that doesn't work I'll have to reboot.

Safari still causes the whole system to freeze once in a while. Annoying. Thats why I use Chrome now.

I didn't mean that this is literally made up. Of course it's in the news. But the idea that it's a big deal seems manufactured in the same way the iPhone 6 had a "bending" problem. Spotlight has a lightweight mail client in it that can display messages. I bet all third-party email clients also ignore the preferences set in the Mail app. Why is anyone surprised? And who cares if a spammer gets your IP address? They can't associate an http request to your email address.

Missing options under "Details" in Messages

My apologies if this has already been addressed but on both my iOS 8 and Yosemite, I'm not getting the option in Messages under "Details" to name the group chat or leave conversation. Incredibly frustrating ... am I missing something?
