My 7+ is still on 10.1

Can I jailbreak that still?
Should I update to 10.3.2?
What new features/fixes would I be missing out on by not updating?

stay there !

I have 7+ 10.1.1 jailbreaked too and is absolutely STABLE after having patched well.

I will never update without another jailbreak just released for newer FW

yeah with execute order 66 and substrate enabler, automated, I have a lot more single-time success re-JB'ing mach_portal on my 7+

I've been really impressed

I'm not currently jailbroken. Can I still jailbreak 10.1? Is it Untethered?

You guys are still hoping for something?! Time to give it a rest.

And anyone who gave up 9.0.2 JB for ios10 and later...bet some of you would love to go back. Ha ha.

I might keep my 6s on 9.0.2 till 2020 and then sell it. Wonder if it will still fetch a decent price then. It won't run slow, that's for sure.

What will suck will be going back to stock iOS.

Finally, another shout-out to the Pangu team for that JB. A classic!

I gave up my 10.2. JB to go on 10.3.1 on my 6S+ and iPad Pro. I don't regret it one bit. I still have a 6S on 10.1.1, an iPad Mini 2 on 9.0.2 and a 6+ on 9.0.2. I use the 6S+ as my daily and honestly, it's kind of nice not being jailbroken on it and the iPad. There's no risk of messing anything up and I can always do a reset all settings without having to update to the latest version.

Happily jailbroken. And not.

My iPhone 5 is running 10.3.1.

So, even if there IS a jailbreak…yeah, not for my 5. :D

But my 5 isn't my primary phone so oh well. :)

Guys look at @qwertyoruiopz twitter

New development from Luca:
The bugs found may mean a More stable 10.1.1 jb

Anything else seems more uncertain

But he also seems to say 10.2.1 jb more likely than 10.3.1

Hard to keep up with what's thegolden version moving forward

I would imagine 10.3.2 ain't it tho

He even says no 10.3.2 jailbreak is coming

This is not to say that anything will happen for 10.3.1; it likely won't (i doubt anyone is willing to burn kernel protection bypasses).

Nope not even.

You know what's interesting?

Jailbreaking was declared dead here before Evasi0n for iOS 6 dropped. It was declared dead here because of AP Ticket and the 'difficulty' of breaking Apple's new security with iOS 7. It was declared dead before there was an iOS 8 jailbreak and it was declared dead before an iOS 9 jailbreak.

From the 9.0.2 jailbreak until the 9.1 jailbreak it was a year and they all declared it dead. Some chose to ignore the fact that a 9.1 jailbreak had indeed happened - because they had updated. They said there would be no more jailbreaks after 9.1. We got a 9.3.4 and below jailbreak.

They declared there would be no iOS 10 jailbreak. There's at least two. And for good measure there's now at least two to three new jailbreaks for those running 32 bit devices under iOS 9.

Each and every time jailbreaking was declared dead and that there would be no new jailbreak, a jailbreak dropped. And each and every time those people who had declared it dead quietly disappeared from this forum.

You may be right. There may be no jailbreak.

But based on past history, please excuse my skepticism of your statement.

When there is going be a jailbreak? Is this going be released in those few weeks or this a being a hoax?

Besides that, it would be released in those few weeks in the month April. But nothing is being released.

I don't get why Apple just have a jailbreak mode or something... Just like Android. That root acquirers a knowledge to know how. The most of the buying android phones doesnt know how to root or what root means BUT if you want root? You will and can get root.

Why is there nothing like this on the iphone? And yeah... If you have jailbreak phone its your own responsibility if you get a malware or get stuck... Because you "root" the phone.

Because i know the most of my friends buying/using a Iphone because of jailbreak aka "cydia" that you can do so much on a iphone when its jailbreaked. And very stable/faster then a android phone.

Can somebody give a good answer why Apple do not allowed a "root-acces" on your OWN PHONE?

They don't have to

Jailbreak community is niche and stock iOS devices fly off the shelves

Closed ecosystem is a good marketing talking point for security

Security research is free when jailbreaks become public

They borrow tweak ideas and slowly adopt concepts

Apple has a good system going on

why can't this thread be only about the jailbreak in the topic? i click on the tread because i think there might be new info on a JB but it is just banter which should be in another thread.

Mod Note
I agree: I've tidied up a lot of off topic bickering and back and forth and would ask that people keep on topic in the future

I'm happy with 9.3.3 and the jailbreakme home icon. My phone is virtually untethered now. I don't expect to see an un-jailbreak phone until I get a new iPhone 8. I doubt the hackers will ever stop or give up as long as there is good OS to crack.
