Hi vivo,
I can’t use SpectrumAnalyzer and Levelmeter, when I click the buttons nothing happens. They’re grey (not like the K-Meter – that’s the only button that works for me).
Edit: Ah, okay my bad ... I can see it now, just had to widen the size of Phonix. I expected a Spectogram like I know it from foobar.
Thanks anyway

You could use an AU effect for this. Phonix supports 1 audio unit but first you need to enable AU effects in the output preferences of Phonix.

If you have an AU effect for Spectogram you could solve it in this way.

I tried to make an SHN decoder back in 2018 but it was very buggy.

Why not convert your SHN files to FLAC. I do not feel like making lots of development hours on a dead (discontinued) codec.

because there are (tens of?) thousands of SHN files checksummed on sites like etree.org - terabytes of live music - which would have to be re-submitted in FLAC format.

honestly, if it were something we could toggle to enable and deal with the bugginess optionally, that would be a massive help to the people with massive collections that can no longer be played....

I spent 10 hours trying to make SHN files work. But did not succeed. Also it broke a lot of TagLib things.

Sorry, hope you're not disappointed

Hi vivo,
I’m using v3 build 59 on Big Sur. Is it just me or is the info displayed in the "title section" of the playlist actually the filename?
Thank you for your work.

Hi frizzo,

Yes, if there is no metadata/tag in the file, the filename is displayed.

Thanks.

There is a track title in the ID3-tag but the name appears ...
E. g. instead of "14th August 2019" it says "DJ PERCEPTION 08-14-2019.mp3"

Will check later if I’m mistaken.

Hello vivo,
I checked right now … there’s a title in the ID3 tag, but it shows the filename.
Hmm…

Phonix v3 build 72 is out for Big Sur free download at https://phonix.nl.eu.org

In the source code there is an iOS Remote App for controlling Phonix via WIFI you must build yourself with Xcode.

ENJOY!!!
