So so so much noise... But I love it anyway:

Fellow MR member, SuperCompu and I had a blast shooting at this event. We used my two Nikons and a number of different lenses. Tough conditions, thus we shot all in manual. Tis fun!

I may be one of the odd ones, but I actually don't mind "noise" if it is decent quality noise which looks a bit like film grain. I actually don't mind film grain either, especially on high ISO or pushed film exposures. I think some organic qualities to the image add to the mood and atmosphere of the shot. Film, and digital imagery are all abstractions of some sort anyway, and ambient, or available light is vastly perferable to me even at the expense of grain or noise. I like this shot.

Thank you!

I don't mind the noise all too much either. If I need to push the ISO to get a shot, I will do so without much hesitation... Besides, the Nikons are pretty good as far as keeping the noise low. I dream of the day I can buy my D300 and shoot at 3200 with little consequence!

Here's another:

Just love it, wish I was there. We have had a mix between snow and rain, and some gusty winds in Oslo today:(

This picture was taken for an advertising campaign that some friends of us was making at school. The theme for the campaign was "Together we form the future".

One handheld RAW // HDR // Shutter: 1/80 // Aperture: f/12.9 // Focal Length: 17 mm // ISO 100

...weekly anti-war demonstration, Kansas City Missouri. Taken this afternoon.

Can't tell how I feel about this one. The picture itself is great; captures the mood of the demonstrators very nicely.

But once again, I'm not sure about the HDR treatment. To be sure, I love HDR more than most, and I even enjoy HDR of human subjects (rather than just objects or buildings) now and then. But I just don't know here; I'm not sure it needs it.

All of this notwithstanding, your mastery of the HDR technique (esp. from single RAW) is unparalleled.
