Powerkite photos can be interesting, if you exploit the natural tension that is created between the kite and the person flying it. See the below, which I post to illustrate this point rather than for any technical merits (which are few).

Wow, that water looks awesome. I am in need of a vacation. Would love to see some other pictures from this place. I've heard good things about it.

Thanks. Here is another shot of Tulum, Mexico. I was standing up to my nips in water to get the shots. It's nice to have water sealed Pentax gear! It was a great vacation. I've never seen water so beautiful before, the coral sand beaches, and shallow sea make it eye popping!

I agree, the water there looks so clear and beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Weather sealing is very handy!

Nice shot BarryJ, I like the fog and framing, makes me wonder why anyone would leave a boat out there... are those divers under the boat?

wow that looks really great :) im really loving the t2i, i cant wait to get mine next month!
may i ask, do you not think better results could have been produced at a sharper aperture (say, f8-f11), a lower iso and longer exposure? great photo nonetheless! hope to hear back from you about your choice of settings, as im really starting to learn the in depth stuff now :D

not one of my best but i havent submitted for a while so oh well....

Not super impressed with how this came out (lighting was horrible), but it was the only chance I had to photograph them.

Thanks for the compliment. No those dark "spots" underneath the water are rocks I would imagine or small beds of kelp. The shot was taken a couple of summers back. The area was close to my parent's home. The boat is "moored" to a nearby dock and is on a loop of rope. To save space at the dock, the boat is tied to the loop and then moved out into the water using that loop to make that space for others. Its is a beautiful area and I'll be back there again late this summer.
