So you're really shooting at a FOV of 23mm when taking the crop sensor into account. I am actually wondering how well this 15mm performs on a full frame sensor (given that any issues are more likely to show in the corners on FF).
Still very tempted to try it though. The size alone makes it worth having in my bag, I think.

Also, gotta ask, which brand adapter are you using? I've read so many mixed reviews on all these various adapters out there...(Same question addressed to Kenoh and MacRy).

And thanks for the samples!

2,5 and 6.... Great shots!!!

Nokton 50!? NICE... Looking forward to seeing your output... Not sure how you will better these but looking forward to seeing you prove me wrong.

Thanks Ken. I went for a used version of the LTM mount Nokton and also bought a helicoid adapter so I can bring that 1 metre focusing distance down to something more sensible. Really looking forward to getting it as I've had my eye on one for ages.

There's a review of someone using it on an A7 here:

http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2014/...e-voigtlander-15mm-heliar-by-steven-norquist/

There are corner issues on full frame but it's up to you whether it's something you can live with.

Adapter wise I use cheapo ones from eBay and they work just fine. I e got a Photodiox one, a Pixco one and some no brand jobbie. Never had an issue with any of them and they all cost less than £20 each.

So, i think the 15 may smear in the corners on the A7ii. According to reviews it does on a7.

As for adapters, for FD I use Photodiox. For Leica R o use Fotix cheapo, for M42 i used Big IS. For C/Y i used Fotodiox too and for Leica M i use Fotodiox. Contrary to reviews my Fotodioxes have been fine. I MAY uograde to a Voigtlander IF i ever spot any image issues with current setup.

I also got a Fotodiox helicoid for close focus but I keep forgetting I have the damn thing so dont know if it works yet. Ooops...

Genuinely looking forward to seeing your output the LTM is very very good according to reviews.

As for corner issues from a lens. I need to deal with my own center issues befire worrying about corners! Ha ha..

I agree on adapters, cheap is fine by me... The day i see well enough to spot an issue, i will upgrade.

Nice lighting there but maybe if not being rude, straighten wheel next time?

Yup. I've read about the smear issues on FF (and some color cast). That's why I asked.
Having said that, I'm not a pixel peeper and am willing to overlook soft corners as long as it doesn't detract from the composition.
On longer lenses, such issues are rarer and tend to be less of an issue (as the focus of the composition is usually towards the center of the frame).
UWA lenses on the other hand, are often going to be used for landscapes or architecture, in which corners (or edges in general) become a bit more important.
But I'm not a pro. I don't earn a living off my photography. And my skills are probably a much bigger impediment to my output than any smearing in the corners. Haha.

I hear you sir! I too share your affliction. From what i have seen, the corner issues wouldnt bother me much.

Same here. If I was good enough to make money from my photography I'm sure it would bother me. As an amateur snapper I'm just fine with it.

Wherever I hang my hat...
How is the camping going? I'm getting more and more fed up with 'normal life' and feel like a spontaneous travelling trip is on the cards.

Probably not the yorkshire dales and the like but a similar idea of getting out and having no fixed abode for a while!

The nomadic life is suiting me. Once a month I seem to have a dreary day when I wonder what the hell I'm doing, but mostly it's a gas. It took just a few days to get accustomed to not going home. More by luck than judgement, I picked the right vehicle: tall enough to stand up in, but only 5metres long (so charged as a car in car-parks, ferries, boats, toll-roads etc). I get 40+mpg, while charging up my two leisure batteries. With a solar panel on the roof I can be off-grid for days at a time. I park where I want, sleep like a log and - fingers crossed - nobody's yet banged on the door at 4 in the morning! I don't think I'll ever go home; it really is where I hang my hat... :)

What is it you have? sounds fantastic. Really fancy renting something and taking off on a road trip for a few days in one.

very well thank you, how about yourself?

been busy setting up a new company with a friend of mine, coupled with a full time job, makes excess forum time & leisure photography kind of a luxury.

been having a go at sketching too, which helps me de-monitor my eyes and un-stress altogether for a bit. you can check them out here dispersed through the thread's pages : https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1726977/

Crooked steering wheel? Yes, it is and next time I'll straighten it out. Here's "the rest of the story". I was out last night taking some exterior shots and had the wheel cranked a bit so the front tires were turned to add a bit of interest. This interior shot was an afterthought. Not perfect but I still liked the shot.

I've always been envious of your lifestyle, Doylem.

One of these days, I'll get the nerve to leave everything behind and untether myself like that.
When was the last time you slept in a building? Do you still keep a house/flat somewhere with the rest of your material possessions? Or is your little domicile on wheels "IT"?
Inquiring minds want to know...

Lovely. If I ever happen to see your little van pulled over in the Midlands, I'll be sure to bang on the door (unless it's four in the morning!).

That is where my son lives, nice photo!

Superb place. I won an award at work and so did a long weekend to Honolulu in 2011 from Glasgow to collect it. Was magical. Played a round at Luana Hills golf course, learned to surf (badly), we had a private function at the Lolani palace and a private music concert from Train. It was an incredible experience. One day i hipe to go back again with my wife and daughters but it us a long old trek from here.

Fabulous picture.
