Wastwater, this morning...
While jogging ran into this strange sheep.

Just enough light from a second safari vehicle off to our right.
I'm just back from more than a month on the road, 25 of those nights spent sleeping in a tent, and three of those weeks teaching photography workshops. Hard to keep up with you guys with this kind of schedule, but I do try! Here is a new shot from last month, taken in Death Valley National Park. You can click HERE to read all about these crazy conditions. Clicking on the photo should show it larger.

This was before they went with their pals to the trampoline centre so they didnt look neat and tidy for long after this!

The Love Locks craze has hit Newcastle! Taken from the High Level Bridge, looking onto the Tyne Bride. I hope Conrad and Chris are still blissfully happy!

Lol. You sure that isnt just a site that is particularly prone to getting your bike knicked from?
Where is that taken from the high level bridge? Love that the best bridge in the world is visible there in the background.

I'd be impressed if they chain their bikes at eye level!
Good spot bridge wise - it is the High Level!
I love the beautiful, airy feel you've given this picture. It's beautiful. How do you protect your camera and lens from flying sand in those conditions or do you have one that's built like a tank?
Thanks, Ish. I guess it's mostly just the weather sealing of the camera and lens, but sand does get into the cracks around buttons. Never a problem, though. It grinds up into dust and works its way out eventually. I've now lead several workshops out in windy conditions on the dunes, and no gear was harmed. It is always a distinct highlight of the trip for all involved.
Here is another dunes shot from Death Valley, quite a bit different from the last one. You can find the story that goes with it on my Facebook page (link is in my signature).

Thanks, first time I have been out to shoot in awhile, I am pleased with how much I missed it.Great shot. Really nice!
Just catching up with the forum so sorry for the long post!
Magnificent!
Stunning image! Fabulous lighting. Imaging popping your head out your tent and shining your torch on her! Wow... Question though... Which nominated victim held your speedlite for this one?
Cheers Peter - I'll have a play and see what happens and repost if your suggestion works (which I'm sure it will)Thank you both. Honestly Ken, my biggest concern in Africa (especially at night) was snakes. I hate snakes and they have some really nasty ones there.
Nice one anotherscotsman. Just a suggestion...check your colour levels and try desaturating your blues. Atmosphere and this type of light can cause that spectrum to appear over-saturated. Reducing the blue may bring-out more of the red and green in the cliffs.
