Well that's stolen my thunder for when my turntable arrives tomorrow and I get the camera out!

Nice shot fella.

Haha. I saw that pic and thought it was your, since you had mentioned getting that turntable yesterday.
Then I saw it was someone else and thought to myself "Way to steal his thunder!"

A rain drop on a flower petal as I'm still playing with the flash in the garden.

Comments always welcome.

Forgot to comment on this one. One of my favourite shots of yours. Very nicely done.

I'm heading off to hang my ten B&W images for my first exhibition of long exposure photographs soon. Here's the first one, trying to make a medical research facility look animated and alive. To me, it looks like I am looking up at the head of a giant beast, from this angle, with the bottom centre of frame being the chin section.

Titled: Consumption

Nice shot fella.

I've just bought two turntables (1210's)...... maybe I should get my camera out and we can all compare turntable shots :D

Damn that's a nice pub Doylem. Sure beats the cheap, vinyl clad, TV dominated, soulless atmosphere of our best pubs.

That beach looks familiar, is it Avon? We went there for a walk on the boardwalk this past weekend and took some snapshots. Here is one that I think is from the same spot you took yours.

Yup... it's Avon . Taken by the Avon Pavilion ( You DID go there for breakfast on the beach?)

Another nice one.
Question for you, Doylem: I know you do stock photography. When you take shots like these, do you walk up to the folks in the picture and ask them to sign model releases in anticipation that this shot may make the cut? Or what's your approach to that, when basically, shooting random people who happen to be somewhere interesting that you're photographing (for lack of a better way to phrase the question).

Agreed. What passes for "pubs" in North America is rather more along the lines of "Disneyland for grown-ups with Alcohol", nowadays.

A bit of a gloomy day, so a gloomy zoom from dull Kent

Cheers :)

THAT is fantastic... that is exactly the angle I had in my head when I asked for the shot... Beautiful!

Hey we haven't seen sinn667's 1210's yet :)

Cheers though, I appreciate the compliment.
