I know the pain of family separation, fortunately my ex is still my best friend. I have found the people who post here are very sympathetic. Please feel free post some of favorite photos, don't have to be current, don't even have to be digital originals, I have posted many scans of older photos going back to my early days in photography (55 yrs ago). Only two rules we like to stick to are photos must be your own and only post one per day.

I am amazed how cats can sleep in any position. Twisting their necks a 180 like an owl, or a scene from the original movie Exorcist. Silly creatures.
What I was noticing is how a couple of these sea lions having their necks bent HARD around huge metal things. I realize that is a way to secure themselves while going into a deep sleep, but I thought any other animal doing that would end up hurting themselves- but maybe these guys don't because of the amount of blubber under their skin acting as an "inner pillow" protecting them from the metal features. I hope that came out right; I'm so hot!! And p.s. Looking at those blissed-out sea lions surrounded by that glorious water (from the first sea lion picture) helps!

We must respectful creatures in the wild, currently there is a walrus named Freya in Scandinavia that may have to be euthanized because she is too popular and people won’t leave her alone.

🌿🌱 Common Snowberry, Symphoricarpos albus 🌿🌱

The common snowberry was traditionally used as medicine in various Native American tribes. The berries were crushed and rubbed on the skin to treat burns, warts, rashes, and sores.

Great pic! Next, I would like to see photos of the elusive Olallieberries in season!

Haha.... I find it interesting that many fellow Californians are clueless and have never heard of the olallieberries or ever tasted an Olallieberry pie! Olallies are one of the hidden gems of Cali.

P.S. -- someone who is an even bigger expert will say that Olallieberries were not "originally" from California. True. But in recent decades, they are only grown (and known) in California's Central Coast (and valleys).

The Islands of Greece are beautiful! I'll try to find my old (non-digital but Nikon) pics of Rhodes! Never been to Crete. Do they still have ancient Minoan palaces and ruins there?

They are and yes, I believe they do. My Dad has lived there for the past 15-years or so. He lives in the north-west of Crete, close to the quiet village of Maleme.
