Wow, thank goodness you got your DSLR with youThanks... It wasn't one of those early morning mists that gets 'burnt off' when the sun comes out (we get a few days like that, this time of year). It was more of an all-day fog, shot about noon...
Lol, so what is it suppose to be?The first one is supposed to be an elephant!
thanks for the feedback, Phrasikleia, regarding the baby swing. I have other angles of it on my my http://www.nuwomb.com site. I stll have a few more to put up of it. I find things like it fascinating.
Some of the photos I took came out a bit 'flat'. I am thinking of getting a polarizing lens, I hear they give shots a bit of lift.
Wow. Really lovely photo. Was any post-processing necessary? I'm wishing you had kept the EXIF data in the photo.
Wow, awesome shot, dllavaneras! Great composition and subject. How much did the HDR help the picture?
That's quite a difference! I'm a primarily JPEG shooter, maybe it's time to convert. Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
To see the difference between the original and the HDR, here's the original. It's overexposed, so thank goodness I shoot in RAW!

While a polariser can be useful near water (for getting rid of unwanted reflections), what's making your shot flat is just lack of light... that's all.
I tried to stop taking pictures of sheep... but he posed...
Thanks Very much ! I know how you feel, this morning was dreadful here, very dark and grey.
