Dithered about it for a while then closed my eyes and pressed the button. Thinking about it I'm not sure I've done the right thing, I've discovered that for another £30 I could have bought it from a local camera shop, maybe a better bet if anything went wrong. However, it's done now and one of those beautiful lenses will soon be mine. Thanks for letting me know! I'm happy to have made the choice :)

I didn’t realize you were overseas; I did read that shipping is really expensive for you guys. ? but I have also read that many back orders are shipping within days so hopefully you won’t have to wait too long. Congratulations. I hope you love it.

Wow, that's a steep shipping-and-taxes/customs price to have to pay!

Could you have a look at one in the local camera shop, then that way you'll be sure you like it -- also, buying locally makes sense for various reasons anyway -- and then cancel the order from the USA?

So Nine-Line had a event at their store. BBQ, beverages and music and a jumbo tron to watch the Army/Navy game. Note the founder is a former Army Officer and West Point graduate...aviator who served with the 160th SOAR. For those unfamiliar with the 160th they are the Army's special operations aviation regiment (SOAR). They provide aviation support to the special ops community. Quite the professionals. So you can see the significance of the game. The event was all "free", they requested donations to support their tiny homes for homeless vets. Lots of families and nice folks. GO ARMY!
