I was being quite wicked really, just letting that thought grow into a longingAgreed, Molly! As I said in another post I did try one some years ago back in Lensbaby's early days and somehow I just never quite "clicked" with it. Just not my thing, apparently! I know that now they have expanded their line significantly, including providing actual lenses as opposed to the original device with all the various size aperture discs. I imagine this makes using one a lot more appealing and enjoyable to more people, and offers additional opportunities for creating unique images.
If you are wanting a velvet there is a flash sale on the Lensbaby site this weekend with amazing prices. These are just gorgeous! Love the soft focus, and the colour, wow! I'm hoping to get that lens in the next few months. Just in time for the spring flowers maybe!
Thank you Molly! I don't think it's going to come any better than that. I put it on my wish list a few months ago, and don't want to know what's still on and what isn't but I don't want two! I'll have to make a discrete enquiry lol! Thanks again, I'll let you know what happensIf you are wanting a velvet there is a flash sale on the Lensbaby site this weekend with amazing prices.
Oh my! I've never seen cold like that. What on earth temperature was this? Wonderful photo even though it does give me the shivers!!
super funSince the topic of the moment seems to be tilt-shift, here's one from Chicago a while back taken with 28mm TS lens. Placed focal plane along the track using maximum tilt.

I remember walking the mall and other areas of my birth place, in awe of all of the things I found, and then I found this. It blew my mind. So unexpected, and awesome. This and the solar system patio area. What a fantastic find. It made my day. I was getting tired of walking around DC, and after finding this, kept walking for another 3 or 4 hours, amazed at the things I found.Washington DC. 2016. iPhone6

BUSTED!!! 'What? I didn't take your nuts! Honest!'???
Hi @mollyc ! I made my 'discreet enquiries' ie. I asked my husband and he said the lens is still on my wishlist. He said he didn't buy it because it's on backorder and he didn't know if it would come in time for Christmas. I went to the Lensbaby website and it was £230.20. Put the Velvet56 in my basket and it went off to calculate shipping: something around £135 for shipping and taxes. Ooof!!? I hadn't realised it was coming from the USA. Dithered about it for a while then closed my eyes and pressed the button. It's done now and one of those beautiful lenses will soon be mine. Thanks for letting me know! I'm happy to have made the choiceThank you Molly! I don't think it's going to come any better than that.
