For you guys in the UK with lockdowns and restrictions....are you allowed to go for a walk in your neighborhood? For a few miles? Or do you have just stay literally at home?

Even if one cannot go outside and walk around the neighborhood, surely there are interesting things to shoot indoors right in one's own home -- think about it, experiment! Create an interesting abstract, set up a tabletop scene or shoot a macro and get really, really up close and personal with your subject.....

As someone on another forum where I hang out says, "art is everywhere."

exercise, essential shopping and caring responsibilities are justification for going out, if not told to isolate. but not allowed to travel beyond local authority area.

so yes, we can & I have used the camera when out for exercise.

When at the scene, do you think about different approaches to it? Walk around and look at it from various perspectives? Get in closer, move away further? What about this scene captured your interest in the first place?
I had taken one before of this scene and wished to see whether it was as interesting:

Should have used tripod...just too darn cold to set up. Fujifilm X-Pro-3, hand held. Turn B&W in post. 2X tele. converter on 50-140mm Fuji lens. f/16, ISO 3200, 1/500's sec. Edit: Added the color, original.

Traditionally, we go to the beach on Christmas Day, but the weather forecast didn't look good so moved it forward to the 23rd. Probably a good call as it dropped into the upper 30's on the 25th. The cruise ships were anchored off-shore (avoiding harbor/wharf fees).

Sorry for it being another cat photo, but with lockdowns and current restrictions I'm not getting out much!

I love Digby! A photogenic cat with a lot of personality. Keep 'em coming. Gnawing on a shed, lurking in a tree, posed as above - Digby provides endless "lockdown possibilities", I think. I look forward to the "Big Book of Digby" coffee table book - signed by the cat, of course. :)
