It's blowing a hoolie outside so I have a plan. Over the remaining 11 days of Christmas, I will give to you a selection of photos taken with iPhone during the 2020 months of COVID. I was thinking of starting with February when it was starting to become evident in the public mind and the UK Government was hesitating pre-Lockdown, but having started to examine my digital roll I really must post one from January ... indulge me ;)

I started in January after meeting a gal from Yuhan wearing a mask at the apple store because she was safe, but did not want to infect anyone “just incase”. How innocent situations were only a year ago.

So florida is Kinda cool here now, 43F i wonder if the herons are in the yard, yes one flew past 2 big ones, this was the best shot from afar View attachment 1701341
Occasionally we will get herons in the yard searching for lizards. More common are flocks of Ibis "aerating" the yard as they poke the surface for grubs or worms. The major thing this time of year with temps dropping into the 30's are the manatee converging in the warm (72 degrees year round) spring waters. There are hundreds of them in the Blue Springs run, but no way I am going on a Saturday/Sunday/Holiday. On cold mornings, they usually have to close the park by 11AM when capacity is met.

Santa brought me a Lensbaby Spark with a Sweet 50 optic. Of course I slapped some macro filters on it. The Spark has no real focusing mechanism but is built on a bellows system, so you squeeze it to find focus. It also tilts wildly. It's like a Composer sort of, except that you have to keep your hands on the mechanism and it does not hold the tilt/focus unless you are holding it. It will take some practice, this is not quite fully in focus, but shot at f/2.5 so a tiny plane of focus to start. It will be lots of fun. ?

Not so much with us but many view Boxing Day as traditional gift return day. I'm betting if you found this under the tree you couldn't wait to return it. Spotted in a Colorado Springs Wally World late November 2007. Takes 9-C cell batteries which are not included. Canon Power Shot A-550 camera.

What?! I'm still using mine!

The ‘other’ beach at Piraeus, Athens. February 2020. iPhone 7.

Alternative candidates included various snaps of the Acropolis and the Olympiakos stadium, the latter during a football match, my reason for being in Athens.
