Any reason you chose macro close up filters over extension tubes?

Yep, my camera has a fixed lens so filters are the only way I can go.

Photo of the day : January 2014

Sorry forgot what camera you had. I got some extension tubes the other week but haven't had a play yet. Maybe at the weekend. Hoping to get out tomorrow if we get some nice frost. This winter has been a total washout.

You're not kidding. Snow and ice can be a pain in the hole (especially if you're a biker like me) but it's nice to have a bit of it for a few days so you can, at least, build a snowman.

Looking forward to seeing some shots with your tubes at some point fella.

Finally some decent weather and not being at work meant I could get up and do some photography today. Hope you like them. This one is just down the road from Ironbridge. Kind of reminds me of the tower in the Lord of the Rings. (imagine a big eyeball between the pointy bits!) Anyway I liked the sun behind it.

Comments always appreciated.

Shot film for the first time the other day. Pretty fun experience. This is one of my friend's fixed gear. Appreciate any comments.

I haven't posted in awhile due to pursuit of other hobbies and recreational activities but liked this one.

Flamingos in Curaçao.
The birds only come to this spot to feed, so 90% of the time they all have their heads down in the water, eating shrimp. Takes a while to wait for them to come up and stretch their necks up ;)
