You got it. I moved up here a few months ago.
Just in time to catch the winter. Brave man. Beautiful scenery though.

Phew ... I'm here to soak it all up ... lookin' and learnin' from what everyone else is posting and sharing my travels.
All we ask is you post pictures and accept all we offer is opinion for the purposes of helping deal?
You were being serious?!?! My god! We were all rotten when we first came here, well most of us, one or two were experts already... Point is... We pride ourselves on helping a few people along the way.
Seriously all are welcome regardless of skills or equipment. Don't ever feel like you are not allowed. All we ask is you post pictures and accept all we offer is opinion for the purposes of helping deal?
So stay a while and be part of the community friend
Aaargh, 'Regedit'isn't this a win pc configuration forum??
got me confused there for a moment buddy
Yeah, I'm in. So essentially, with the iPhone 7, I'm a point & shooter ... I haven't invested any time or money in camera apps to make/give the iPhone a more responsive device. So I'll be mostly watching for how people compose their shots and working that horizon problem (couldn't believe how quickly I got picked off on that.) I can't tell you how many times I have taken a shot, then taken 4 more shots, only to find myself taking the same damned "bad" horizon shot. Anyway ploughing ahead to share pictures of the month and looking to improve my shot-taking.
Now your trying to convince others to your GAS condition! That's the right answer friend. And errr... The iPhone 7 is no less a camera than a full frame DSLR rig... It is about what you do with it... And last time I read the propaganda, 70% of all photos are taken on iPhones now...
It is all about the composition, the framing and the lighting. So make pictures with it and just watch out because it is a slippery slope... We'll have you buying heavy artillery soon enough...
Fortunately there is no minimum equipment level on here.Yeah, I'm in. So essentially, with the iPhone 7, I'm a point & shooter ... I love the winters especially when the snow sticks around. I'm glad to be out of the slush, mud and salt that passes for winters in the Midwest. Living in Indiana and Michigan before coming here made me realize why some people are crazy enough to hate winter.Just in time to catch the winter. Brave man. Beautiful scenery though.

Great bunch of people on the forum! New here myself and my first two pics last month were on an iPhone5 from Florida. It's all about trying things and learning along the way. With digital it's easy to try different things in fairly short order then just delete what doesn't work (like a lot of mine)!Yeah, I'm in. So essentially, with the iPhone 7, I'm a point & shooter ... Just found my 50 yr old Canon 35mm the other day. Can't imagine developing 35mm now (learned in HS and it was fun then).
Welcome!!

For the iPhone turn on the grid option
The trouble with most camera phones is people take snaps. We are looking to make pictures.
Nicely done. I try to photograph the small birds in my garden, but they always seem to know when I'm there with my camera.

What is this btw?
Ye Olde Naked Man Café, Settle...
Something I haven't tried as yet. The sparrows we get in our garden are very skittish.Busted.
This is not in our garden, but in an aviary...
What I have done in our garden is setup the camera with a tripod and remote trigger. The birds get used to the sound very quickly and you'll get great closeups.
Breaking the one photo/day rule. (repost, so allowed )
