Two firsts - my first ever photo in the Digital Photography area of MacRumors, and the first shot from my new EOS 400D...

Taken earlier today in my back garden.

Would love some feedback as I'm very much a newbie when it comes to taking decent photos (but I'm brilliant at taking crap ones!)

:eek:

EDIT: Safari must have just burped, it shows up now. Nice pic, I like the colors in it, but it just lacks anything that gives it attachment for me. It feels like it's trying to tell a story, but isn't.

Porn Chowder

Little washed out in places, but a fun pic from when my friend's band was playing. And yes, that is a cowbell that randomly appeared in the audience.

For those of you confused about the title, it's the name of the band. If you don't know what it means, I would recommend not looking it up.

@bigandy: Not bad. Any sort of bug shot is hard to do. It would have been nice if there were direct natural light on the bee. Basically your main problem is that the background colors are stronger then your focus.

@bld44: Great expression! Nice shot.

@otter: When was this taken? :eek: Thats a lot of people. I have never seen that many people at Seattle Center unless it was some sort of event.

@Doylem: Amazing, as always.

@hans3185: Nice shot, but if I were you I would photoshop out the head in the background. I personally find it distracting.

It was during the Pride festival, right after the parade. It was pretty crazy. They had dance music blasting out over the fountain and people were just stripping down to their undies and jumping in. It helped being an unusually hot day for Seattle. The whole event was great people watching.
