This squirrel was extremely friendly. It got accustomed to being near humans, so many were taking photos of it.

HOW do you pull off handheld HDR's?? even when I set Photomatix to 'high' ripple detection I always get tons of ghosting...

You must have such steady hands.

Well as far as I can discern, multiple handheld source images for HDR can only be done when the scene is well lit to begin with, plus I may bump up my ISO to a higher sensitivity and open my aperture fairly wide in order to get fast shutter speeds to help minimize camera shake/motion blur. I also activate both auto bracketing and burst mode at the same time as well. Even still I get plenty that still don't turn out due to motion.

Do you want it well done, or...
Nikon D80 + 18-55 (D40 Kit)
Exposure: Aperture Priority
Shutter Speed: 1/4000
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 55mm
Flash: Off
ISO: 3200

A bit of an odd combination with the ISO and exposure, but when you're shooting in a dark restaurant and this happens 4 feet away you take what you can get!

Just got this crazy shot this past weekend when I went to Dresden (beautiful city!). Shame that my hand is the background...

That is really a beautiful composition to me. Not sure if it may just be my monitor, there seems to be a slight unnatural purple hue to the shadows in the clouds tho. It might just be me.

Not sure what caused it. There was a forest fire in that area and maybe it is the dust. Here is another pic taken on the same day ..... i.e yesterday.

This is a sunset shot on the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose Costa Rica... Edited with photoshop......

It gives a good effect, since you don't know whether the airplane is going or coming...

I would appreciate comments and feedback on this one
