Texturing performed in Photoshop by overlaying a texture layer over original image

One tripod mounted RAW // HDR // Shutter: 2 sec // Aperture: f/22.6 // Focal Length: 100 mm // ISO 100

...a texturing effect Martin C was doing in January that I asked him to explain - finally got around to trying it.

One of my first shots with my new 40D. Loving it. Not the greatest shot at all, but liked it as it was as if he was looking over the people on the bench. I was more or less just playing with depth of field and to get a hang of the camera.

Emmerson Fittipaldi (for you open-wheel racing fans) from the b/w negative archives. It's a crappy scan from the neg, but I'm experimenting with b/w film and a neg scanner, and there's a lot of custom settings to play with. A fun thing to do on a boring evening... :)

Wow. What are the specs on this photo? And any post processing?

Six tripod mounted RAWs // HDR // Shutter: varied // Aperture: f/9.1 // Focal Length: 17 mm // ISO 400

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. The sign is the focus of the picture, but the sunset on the city in the horizon and the slow-shuttered highway just make the photo. The effort put into this picture is astounding.

red light district

a friend referred to this photo as the one from the red light district (ok, she's weird..) Perhaps not the most challenging photo, but I took lots of photos that evening and I liked the atmosphere and light.
