A circular vent of some kind?
Yes. More specifically, and as MacRy already guessed, its the top of an air conditioning unit (the fan cover).

[doublepost=1520730000][/doublepost]From time to time I get to play with one of the cameras at my Mindful Photography groups, if someone doesn't turn up for the session. I have grown to develop a soft spot for the little M43 cameras!
Panasonic-Lumix G1, Lumix G Vario 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6, Multi-segment Metering, Aperture Priority,
ISO 100, 28mm, f/4.8, 1/1000
I'm interested in hearing more about what you have grown to like/appreciate in the M43 cameras @Alexander.Of.Oz . When I decided to move on from a P&S I ended up getting the Panasonic G3 for the size primarily. It has not disappointed me and I really do like the size of it but now that it has been six years (wow, time flies) I'm toying with the idea of getting another camera. Probably another M43 (a G9 perhaps) or maybe I go to a 35mm camera?
Truth be told I'm quite sure I'm falling into the 'I would take better pictures if I had better gear' trap. It doesn't help that I have to look at the fantastic images you all regularly post in this forum.
For me it's the compact and light nature of them, in combination with their nice image quality and fast accurate focusing. Plus how simple they are for the participants to get to grips with. I have two G1's and two GF3's, for those that find using a DSLR intimidating/awkward/a struggle (weight) or have eyesight issues and want to work from the rear screens, which last for hours and hours in liveview!I'm interested in hearing more about what you have grown to like/appreciate in the M43 cameras @Alexander.Of.Oz . If you've got a good collection of quality glass, stick with the M43's. I've only got kit glass for the participants to use, but I'm more than impressed with the IQ of the Panasonics (M43), Pentaxes and Sony (DSLR's) just with their kit glass. The Canon 550D is okay, but I do notice there are less adjustments needed to be made, when I use and apply the ColorChecker card on the others as compared to the Canon!
I like it to. Even if it is the wrong side of the river!

Nice portrait.

Could have taken this in England these last few weeks. How fast do they go?

Worth getting up for.
I thought Ken was after the misty look, which is why I said ocean/sea.

That's a big downfall to most ultra-wide angle lenses and is certainly a limiting factor in how and when I can capture my ideas.I was. I was trying to avoid the sun flares. For flaring I seem to be able to just take my lens cap off
I like. Which software? From the Eastern Sieeras this past autumn. Playing around with some new B&W software.

Are you using the Photographers Ephemeris Ken? That can assist you to choose ahead of time what angles you can capture and when, so as to avoid the dreaded flares.
This picture sums up how I feel right now.

What an interesting looking building. Btw it just felt further because you were hung over!A nice day at Turnberry today. Food was rubbish but the weather was nice and it was lovely to walk out to the lighthouse which is further away than it looks!

There are 47 of these dotted around Auckland, so I have may more to find and photograph. They are to be auctioned off to raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation, so all for a good cause. https://www.thebighoot.co.nz/

Wow man! I have compassion for you. Been there and done that many times in the past. So glad you're feeling better. I don't drink anymore and haven't for many, many years. Wouldn't go back to it for anything, and by the grace of God I won't.
The gorilla shot was taken at a zoo. Not sure if he was having a pensive moment or what, but at the time he just seemed to be chillin'.

Drink plenty of water. That's the key.
