Hmm, I have been looking at this one, and if I had taken it, I would be happy with it but as you have set such a high standard for your recent work, I feel the there is no obvious subject it is just not coming across to me. I don't know, no offence and this is not a dig for the stagger video... :)

Just, not one of your best my friend.
To me the subject was the erosion channel here, Ken. It's an interesting image in regards that amongst some fine-art photographers in town here it proved to be very popular for some reason, stuffed if I know why though. o_O

For me it was just an exercise in getting the participants to really understand that the widest open aperture is not necessarily going to get a shallow depth of field all the time.

It’s all good, Ken! No insult taken, I’m a thick-skinned thing. ;)

Lovely light and delicate detail, Molly! I have a bunch of extension tubes on the way to me as a poor mans macro’s for the Mindful Photography groups to start exploring just this type of imagery.

Because it’s not particularly difficult to take macro images of grocery store flowers in my studio.

ME TOOOOOO!!!!
Good photos don't have to be difficult to take, just taken well!

I've got loads of flower photos and I don't think mine are anywhere near as good as yours. Now I will grant you I've never bought flowers for photography (mind you I've never bought any for Mrs AFB either!).

Agree this is the best one so far.

Thanks. Unfortunately I have been fighting a bout of man flu this week and haven’t been out hunting for more owls, and am running out of photos of them to post. It was touch and go for a while, but I have survived, and will find more of them soon.

I’m loving your flower shots. Keep the coming :)

Very nice and sharp. Good job.

Thank you AlaskaMoose.

Here's one of mine from the other week. I hear we are getting more of the white stuff at the weekend :(

I'm ready for Spring!

Me too! So far this Nor’east has left 24 inches of snow and it’s still snowing -it’s tapering off now. Good news is I have power!! Can’t wait to get home. Hotel was nice, but there’s no place like home.

Nice photo apple fanboy1. I like it.

Stay warm. Hope the power holds out.

We had owls in Birmingham. I'm not sure why.

We had a bunch of painted lions in Northampton a few years ago. They were supposed to generate "pride" in the town. Not sure if it was supposed to be a pun or not! They were auctioned off for charity too. Next we had some large, wooden mediaeval knights crafted from tree trunks by chainsaw artists. Don't know what happened to those.

Beautiful picture!
