I definitely see some of the earlier varieties up with heads but nothing has opened yet on my daily route. Our weather is warm through tomorrow and then we get back to cooler temps, so it still may be another week or so. :(
The nice thing about early season bulbs is that they don’t care about cold snaps! It may slow them down, but don’t seem to do much harm.
Haven't seen a pussy_willow in 10 years. Ha, a little bit censorship, can't even type the name of the bush. Had to add the underscore.
I’m afraid you might need to keep on waiting, as that appears to be a magnolia bud. Saucer or star variety. Lovely (but messy) tree, so long as they don’t get whacked by a late cold snap.

Oh well, it looks the same. We had a huge bush in out back yard, but haven't seen it in a long time. Only going by my fading memory.

I think @Darmok N Jalad is right about the bud being a magnolia . It's on a huge tree in the NY Botanical Garden that , if my memory hasn't eroded , is some sort of magnolia . but when I saw it I was , like you , reminded of the pussy_willows that were commonly seen as harbingers of spring , but seem to have disappeared .

I think it's because they really weren't great landscape trees. Willows grow really fast but they also don't live very long and tend to break apart rather easily in storms. Nurseries probably don't even sell them.

My spouse dropped my long missing Sony RX100 IV in my lap. It has been missing since 2017.

I'm having a great time getting reacquainted. The pop up viewfinder is a great feature on such a small camera.
Wow! Where had the camera been all this time? Glad your spouse found it!!

I love the RX100 series.... That popup viewfinder is a brilliant idea and a real asset -- the primary reason I bought an RX100 in the first place. These are terrific, sophisticated little compact cameras that go far beyond mere P&S as they allow the user so much control in the settings.
