You are correct, the 18-140 is the kit lens if u go for the D7000 series and maybe the D500....the D3300 I have came with two kits lenses. And thanks.....i have ordered the Tamron and will post some photos when it comes in. I appreciate the info....bestSorry, I misunderstood. Sometimes the 18-140 is supplied as a kit lens, but yes if you buy the Tamron it will make the 18-55 redundant.
