Have booked to stay there this coming August, with fingers crossed, taking the car across from Scotland to meet daughter from the South. Have visited Belfast a couple of times but this will be the first holiday on the Coast in the North.
Given that we are in the throws of spring denial, aka still winter, another from the archives. This time 2005 and mostly self explanatory. They used compressed air for propulsion to avoid creating sparks in the underground coal mines.

They're sharp, good in low light, and pretty well regarded, but the VC (Vibration Control) can be a little jumpy and sometimes needs to settle down for a second before taking the shot or you may get a blurred photo; either that or turn the VC off for action shots as it isn't vital at those focal lengths if you have a steady hand.

That photo was from one of my first visits there, in August 2008. I've now been there several times as my wife is Northern Irish. I love Northern Ireland; the people are so friendly and I had no idea how beautiful parts of it were. I really like Portrush in particular. Fingers crossed for August for you! ?
