i don’t suppose the fuji has any kodak simulations? ? would love a digital porta 400

Portra 400 for Fuji X

Already been answered! Yes, I have this app downloaded. The only odd thing is that Fuji doesn’t set up each model entirely the same, but you can still get close. I think the X-T4 has a few extra tweaks, but I can try the Kodak sim and see how it goes. There’s quite the enthusiast group of film simmers.

Here’s another, I think this was Kodak GT 800. No edits. I think I mentioned it before, but if you shoot RAW, it will capture the RAW file in the film sim that you chose, but you can always change it to another sim by connecting your camera to your PC and use X-Studio, or you can just make some ”darkroom” edits. I wish you could connect directly to an iPad and do this, too, since all the processing stays on-camera.

Haha, I’m sure me posting samples won’t hurt one bit! I bought the X-T3 for a really good price used. It was listed as Mint, and best I can tell, it was pretty much never used. If the shutter count check was accurate, it had taken just 1 photo before I bought it. I think I got it for a better deal because not all the accessories were included, like no strap or strap lugs, missing the hotshoe cover, no box. It did come with the flash thought. I think I’ve decided to keep it, as I really like Fuji’s layout, even down to the foldout screen (which they didn’t keep in the X-T4 :(). It’s been fun so far, and I like not having to do as many edits, provided I pick the right film sim. It’s like having a film camera, without the film. Now I just gotta decide how much M43 gear I’ll hold on to, since there were be some redundancies.

The unfortunate part for me is that there is no full frame. Only crop or MF. I don't mind the quality of crop because all modern sensors are pretty up to snuff, but rather the actual crop aspect. If I'm not shooting macro, I want wider, and I don't like the crop ratio of a crop body. And I don't need an MF body, as fun as that would be.

So, that's a couple thousand saved. ? ?

I've decided to try using my iPhone SE more, as I have a number of add on lenses which screw onto to my adapted iPhone case - Moment 60mm telephoto, Moment 18mm wide angle, and an Apexel 100mm macro.
This one was taken just now using the 100mm macro and involved no post processing...

Cheers :)

The add-on lenses for mobile phones are great. I had a Sirui lens for a Google Pixel using a Moment case (bayonet mount)

My experience with Fujifilm fi!m recipes is this:

The Jpg is affected by the recipe.
The RAF raw file is just an open book, no recipe is attached to it. There have been Jpg images I attempted in Lightroom to reproduce the recipe with the raw file, and it took a lot of fussing with.

I would love the recipe to be baked into the raw file.
