Manning Provincial Park, BC - last July - captured this scene on an early-am trail walk near Lightning Lake - daughter enjoying a closer look. Camera on my iPad Mini 4.

The setup is paying for itself with the quality of output!

Haha, yes, the camera and the lens(es) really are something. And actually I'm a "Nikon person" from start.
Sold both the camera and that particular lens the other day. But it's given me some fond memories.

I am keeping all of my EF lenses. The only RF lens I have is the 100-500mm, and will be adding one RF 1.4x TC. Those who already have the latest version of the EF 100-400mm aren't gotting rid of it because oil its great IQ. The same for the very expensive EF Primes from 400mm to 800.
I am keeping my 85 1.2 11 and my 135 2.0 the only RF I want to own is the 50mm. I don' have any zoom lenses.

All my EF lenses are "primes," except for three (40mm pancake, 100 Macro, 16-20 Tokina) all are L glass, and only one has IS (RF 100-500mm). The one I use for taking photos of the Auroras is a Tokina SD 16-28mm f/2.8 for FF cameras.

EF primes from 40mm to 400mm. Zooms: Tokina 16-28mm, and Canon EF 70-200 f/4 L)

You sold the Canon 5D? What are you going to replace it with?

I was just wondering what camera would take a better picture than the 5D?

The image quality overall are quite similar with the 5D and R5 (a lot less resolution with the R6 thou)
The lenses make more differens I assume.
Selling off my beloved EF 100mm L macro as well, going to get the RF-version when it lands in store.
Same with the RF 100-500, will sell that one too and get a RF 400mm f/2.8 instead.

Yes, longer lenses help the R6 (less cropping).

I was not aware there was a Canon RF 400mm f/2.8 until I looked for it at B&H, but it is as expensive as the EF version.

RF:

A prime with such an aperture (f/2.8) should work quite well with a RF 2x TC if you ever need that much reach. That lens is a monster!
