Beautiful steeple. My only minor quibble is with the line in the upper right corner. Minor distraction that would be easy to crop out

North Wales coast on the edge of Snowdonia. About 40-minutes drive from Chester.Where’s that?!?!
I've been there (long before any camera awareness) and it's very impressive. Built by Edward Longshanks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_I_of_England) to subjugate the Welsh - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conwy_Castle - he wasn't a very nice person by all accounts.

Which castle is that? I’m planning to go on a medieval themed trip all over the UK on this Christmas break. Castles and palaces. Love the history.

Caernarfon castle is also pretty cool (excuse the slight rule break for posting two pics in a day) The other great thing about Caernarfon castle is its close to the black boy inn and they do a great sticky toffee pudding!!

Finally getting around to editing pics from my NZ trip back in April. Posted this in weekly comp, but thought I'd post here too. Purakaunui Falls. 13s f11 and from memory 10stop filter. Taken a while to get my head around processing, rather than just tweaking highlights shadows etc , but ecstatic with what I managed to get out of the camera on the trip.

Edward Longshanks, so called because he was taller than average was known as the Hammer of the Scots (can you guess how he got the nickname?) and he was a great reformer, because of him common law began to be reformed and made into statute thus giving certainty of interpretation of law to the population, he also established the permanent parliament - that really is one hell of an achievement!
Without his vision we may still be ruled by feudal barons. You think he wasn't a nice man but better him than the barons, they really did abuse their power. Ever heard of 'Droit du seigneur' “right of the lord” which wasn't abolished in Scotland until the 1700's
He reigned for 35 years and to be fair, in those days, you didn't reign for 35 days if you were a nice man!
His reputation is moot but he kept the Welsh and the Scots in their place, he deserves some credit for that? Not necessarily agreement but credit. He was also responsible for some of the greatest castles in the UK.
On a another note, Akash, there are literally hundreds of castles and medieval buildings all over the UK, do you research though before going to any of them, some of them are just shells/walls such as Goodrich and Dudley but others truly are magnificent, the likes of Arundel, Warwick, Bamburgh, Dover are all well worth a visit.
I love castles.
Arundel Castle (below) still has parts of the original castle built around the time of the Norman conquest and King William himself may well have rode through those castle gates, sadly that part of the castle is closed to visitors as the castle itself is still a private residence.
